Huh? The Bloc is a federal party, not a provincial one, and it holds about a third of the seats in Quebec (as do the liberals). While the maritimes are majority liberal now, they historically have often voted PC.

I guess that's what that Nazi pig means by "free speech". Rise up, USA.

Just the time to stop US health agencies from reporting and tracking infectious disease.

WTF has happened to the USA?
comment in response to post
So cool
comment in response to post
Hahahahahahaa suck on that, Trump. Fucking nazi.
comment in response to post
Seriously. What the actual fuck
comment in response to post
Nice! I must have one.

Trump is doing everything he can to turn the US into a backward, isolated, pariah state.
comment in response to post
Trump is a witless cocksplat.
comment in response to post
Trump is a traitor to his nation and her allies
comment in response to post
Has he brushed that danged fly off his head yet?

Staying silent in fear of fascism only helps the fascists. Resist. Loudly!
comment in response to post
They did. Tied between Cons and Liberals. Very bad news for PP pants.

I don't disagree in principle, but just ramping up military spending will lead to bad decisions. Needs to ramp up.

It means being responsible with operational spending. When a government wants to make a strategic investment it may well incur debt to do so, but it is considered differently from spending on stuff like health and education. It could make the discussion about budgets more rational
comment in response to post
What he's saying is that strategic investments) say, in building high speed rail or green energy or whatever) should be considered separately from operational government spending. If you're going over budget for operations then you have a budgeting problem. It makes complete sense

Or as the Beatles put it: "Living is easy with eyes closed"

We should be actively encouraging US clinicians to come to Canada. We need the clinicians and they need the sanity and ethics.
comment in response to post
That's kind of what the US did during WW2. Look up the Lend Lease Act. It was as appalling then as it is now.

The extremist far right whine about fact checking because they want to be free to lie without consequences. And they shriek about free speech while banning books and deleting their pronouns. They are just the Nazis all over again and the US needs to rise up and throw them out before it's too late.
comment in response to post
They should be called out as traitors. Publicly and loudly.
comment in response to post
We need to dramatically increase our weapons deals with Europe instead of the US.
comment in response to post
The guy's a fucking Nazi and so are Trump, Vance, and the rest of their nasty GOP cabal. Americans need to wake the fuck up and start a revolution.
comment in response to post
Canada has no interest in joining the US. If the US tried to take us by force, there would just be endless guerilla war until the Americans went home. Instead, it's time for blue states to seriously consider dissolving the Union and joining Canada. Imagine what a nation we could build together!
comment in response to post
Now would be a great time for our government to offer a deal to American doctors and nurses to move to Canada. Expedite their credentials and help them set up shop. I know a lot of very unhappy Americans who would love to come here!
comment in response to post
We need doctors and other medical personnel in Canada. Our politicians need to step up and loudly offer American clinical personnel a deal...

The last thing pharma wants is the FDA dismantled. That's how they get new treatments approved. How is slowing that down a god thing for them?
comment in response to post
You're a liar.
comment in response to post
They're not just gutting it. They're deleting data. Removing any evidence from critical tracking systems because they don't like them. And not just the CDC, but the NIH and NOAA as well. I can only hope Ameican scientists have the guts to resist in any way they can.
comment in response to post
Let's hope Carney gains further momentum. Canada cannot afford to have PP Pants in power. Not now. Not ever.
comment in response to post
Yes, and he belted out both anthems with a smile. I'm sure he fully understood who everyone was booing. And it wasn't him.
comment in response to post
The USA used to stand for something. Now it stands for nothing.

TB outbreak, bird flu, bad seasonal flu outbreak, COVID, and measles. All outbreaks that the US will no longer track because the Nazis in power don't want people to know. Horrifying. Why are the American people standing for this?
comment in response to post
What damage? Be specific, now. What has been damaged?
comment in response to post
The only country that is threatening Canada is the USA. Trump is a mafia thug demanding "protection money". Fuck the USA. You want a piece of us? Come try it.
comment in response to post
Me too
comment in response to post
Exactly. The Nazis are back and they're winning. So wtf are you doing to stop them? We all need to ask ourselves this.
comment in response to post
They're hiring: clients.njoyn.com/cl3/xweb/xwe....
comment in response to post
They can't have any of them anyway.
comment in response to post
As a Canadian scientist, I find this absolutely horrifying. The war on science by the Trump Nazis (and make no mistake, they are indeed Nazis) comes at a time when we most need to increase our funding for science. Not just the NIH, but all science. Instead the USA is run by conspiracy wackos.
comment in response to post
Elon Musk is literally telling Germans they should stop having "Nazi guilt". Clearly he has no guilt about being a Nazi at all.
comment in response to post
Trump's now claiming he will use "economic force" to make Canada a 51st state. Hahahahahahaha. The more he pushes this unhinged crap the more Canadians will turn against Trump and indeed the US. Then Trump's support for PP Pants will become a liability.
comment in response to post
As if we needed another reason NOT to vote for PP pants, support from that witless darling of the far right, Jordan Peterson, is surely a pretty good one.
