I got lambasted for the Walman trade. I think it is easier to find forward pieces but man has Grier stripped that team down.

Well they have Stank as 2C now but still very weak on the wings. Kotkeniemi is another contract they could look to move out in a similar deal that the Avs just did. But I still see the biggest issue with the Canes is generating offense.

Was working well finally with the Canes to start the season. Likely helped them finally sell him. I think the Canes need that type of player or their offense can go stagnant.

Yeah and Avs moved Rantanen because they think Necas and the space is valuable to building a good team. Necas is doing very well playing with MacKinnon.

Rantanen is a wing paid big so....
I don't think Necas touches that and he is still 1 more year at 6.5 mill. I don't think Carolina finds a player like Necas for that in free agency.
