We can continue to randomly bump into each other every few years. Just over the line from being goblins.

Listen if I was going to GDC we would eat all the hash browns on my (no-longer-a-video-game-executive) salary but alas!

Yeah it's just rough there now even with aggressive curation and such.

Yeahhhhh, we were paying silly amounts for 2 years of COVID office space. It killed me inside that we couldn't get out of that lease.

Yeah, those salary sites / spreadsheets are usually wildly disparate too, depending on participation and such. (I really want to underscore that I'm not defending these quotes, but having been on the side of the financials, it was always surprising how much higher cost was than just salary.)

Ugh you're going to make me defend The Man here. :( Usually these employee costs are "all-in", so they include not just salaries, but benefits, hardware/software, office space (lol remote), and so on. 10-15 years ago, the napkin math was ~10-12k/employee/month.

Don't miss out on the McDonald's in the old house (if it's still there)! Spent too much time there back in the day.

That's the rumor! It's a real good expansion to hop back in with Delves and Follower dungeons and other very chill solo / small group content.

It was a fun project for her. Has no desire to actually teach though.

At the start of the pandemic, wife was bored and got her yoga teaching certificate. She reveled in making me her guinea pig and watching me sweat.
