let's start with a classic hard rock hymn www.youtube.com/watch?v=caHW... I seriously love this track

Movies you've watched more than 6 times, using only gifs

I can only bear witness from the other side of the planet to my birth country destroying itself for so long before it saps my sanity. So I painted on my bicycle bags. Is there a name for this aesthetic? Perhaps something with the suffix "-punk" inappropriately grafted on?

This is a powerful piece of art.

Portuguese editorial cartoonist Zez Vaz reaches back to Tiananmen Square to call on American defiance.

They say English lexicon isn't tonal but I'm not sure that's true anymore because I can't conceive of any way to say this except as "LúŨÙuuũv nuggets".

American politics have been so inescapable and dire that even my dreams are now turning into elaborate metaphors about oligarch cults trying to take over everyone's minds. It makes me wish for the good old days of ordinary nightmares about outrunning gods of death like a human El-ahrairah.

She's crossing the streams!

The part of George Orwell’s 1984 that everyone forgets is how the music and publishing industries have been replaced by a machine that spits out songs and bad novels “without any human intervention.” The goal is to keep you from ever having to think.

No words needed.

One of my all time favorite RPG stories from Owen KC Stephens, about the launch party for the Star Wars RPG, and a memorable adventure there.

I'm loving seeing Canadians getting fired up to oppose Trump. I wish people in my own birth country had half as much backbone. But AI art attached to any post is an instant block for me. I don't care if your message matches my beliefs, if you use AI art, you don't.

As if Hegseth would bother with the glass!

This one got me.

This video has brought me such joy. I can’t stop singing the song lol. It feels like a forehead kiss 🥹

Programming languages: "We are just a way to operate computers in a way that makes sense to humans." Programming languages [takes a big joint hit]: "What if there were 5 kinds of nothingness?"

My coworker is an immigrant from Afghanistan. She said “I survived three wars. If you have lentils and water, we can get through this. I will make sure.”

People who read a lot of history sometimes gravely intone that all civilizations eventually fail. The fall is inevitable. And there is a good argument to say that's true. There is no reason to believe it has to be true about any particular civilization in any exact moment.

Having learned, I started over. Now the thing is looking amazing. I am literally cackling with anticipation of doing this. Unfortunately I am entering entrance exam season, which is take-a-lot-of-work-home season. But one day, that work will end and this is gonna rule.

In general I have great experiences with Japanese medicine, and even my worst experiences sound pretty mid compared to what I hear coming out of the US. On the whole, I'd say there is room for improvement over here, but I'm mostly satisfied.

I wonder if the young people today who grew up with The Simpsons as an established thing are aware that when it first became popular, it triggered a bit of a moral panic. There were schools that briefly banned Simpsons clothing, believing it would be a bad influence.

Hey is this ever happening deadline.com/2021/07/a24-...

I don't know if it's misappropriation for me to claim to have a hyperfixation, but wow this song has been taking up a lot of background wetware processor cycles. And also real processor cycles, in that I've been listening to it on Spotify a LOT. Oddly I've never seen the movie it comes from.
