I think it was the larger one too. Haven't really seen either chicks peeking at each other aggressively so thinking the larger one is the one who died. Saw the eaglet caught in Shadow's talon, was probably injured by it, and succumbed to it's injuries.

Saw yesterday the chicks were left alone & I nearly had a heart attack. It wasn't long (about 4 min.) but still. The chicks are easy prey. Live feed this morning, chicks are alone from 8:01 & still at 8:28 when I'm typing this. So preparing myself to the possibility of them taken by a predator. :(

It's difficult to say. Could be. Saw an eagle expert say if the chick got wet that could have contributed to it's demise since the chicks can't regulate own body temp just yet. But saw the clip of the chick caught in Shadow's talon. Personally I think that's what did it. Those talons are fierce!
