Have you seen what some of the Republicans working towards lower offices have been saying?
One of the Republican's running for governor in California wants to force women who are not having children to marry incels. You know a guy like that doesn't think marital rape is rape.
comment in response to
post
This one is not about not helping children, it is about forcing women out of the work force.
They are trying to make it as expensive as possible for both parents to work, so that once there is a kid, the woman stays home.
Anti-Birth Control and Anti Abortions is about making sure she has a kid.

I applied for IBR back in 2016.
DoE pigeon holed it. I never got a denial or a clearance. When I try to reapply, they tell me I can't proceed until the previous application is resolved, but then they have no idea how to resolve it.
Trump 1 did so much damage already. Trump 2 is going to be worse.

By the way, I never signed an agreement with MOHELA, only Nelnet, but when Trump 1 was heading out of office, his DoE moved all of my post-grad loans from Nelnet to MOHELA, and I didn't find out until the repayment pause was lifted and MOHELA reached out to me for the firs time.
comment in response to

Whats worse is the lenders have no idea what the bloody payments are.
I get three letters from MOHELA, all dated the same day. One said my payments were 17.39 per month, then the next 2 said "Disregard Previous Letter" and set payments to 3,309.28 and 738.27 per month.

We really need to go back to the whole "Nazis may come to pink concerts, but they gonna leave on a stretcher" policies of the 70s-90s.
Letting the fucking red laces run around without punching is causing problems ...

The problem is, one side is a death cult, and there is no middle ground to meet them on.
You can "rise above" polarization if half of them want you stripped of your rights, and dead. Sometimes, there are only bad people on one side.

You know, if communists had bought stocks originally, maybe the US wouldn't of hated them! :-p

I don't hate liberals. I roll my eyes at them, but the reality is a lot of them can be pulled further left. They like socialist and communist ideas, as long as you don't call them communist or socialist.
It is worth dealing with the rich neolibs to pull the ones that can be pulled, over to our side

"I think there should be a program that helps people buy and move into their starter home by removing the barriers of entry with matched payments and fixed repayment rates."
They like that idea. They don't like subsidized housing though. 2/2

I've found a lot of people agree with communism and socialism if you don't use jargon.

I am not sure who got burned more there... Star Wars which is as deep and complex (Andor excepted) as a puddle at the bottom of a kiddy pool in the Texas summer sun...
Or the MAGAs who can't handle that depth

Newsom needs to come off the list.
Other than the Tariff thing, he's thrown trans people under the bus, platformed and given credibility to Nazis, and has generally been playing at "There are good people on both sides, and maybe we can meet in the middle" bullshit.
He does not fit that list

Well, to be fair, a certain British Monarch made the same decree and was beheaded just a few weeks later...
So... let's hope for some King Charles I energy here.

We need more of this energy. 1789 was a good year.

Who are the people who "created" the movement. Your organizations lack of transparency is super concerning.

Go learn more about this guy. Alls he does, every day, is save dogs.

You clearly know nothing about this man, and what he does everyday.
Don't be so quick to condemn on a quick glance.

*Now the US probably made it five years instead of less. During the invasion of Sicily, good ole Patton tried to show Monty up, his beach was retaken by the Germans buying the Axis time to build the Gothic Line which would grind the Italian campaign to a halt, forcing the riskier Channel crossing.

I hate the American Mythology that the US won WW2. Germany lost the war when it invaded France in 1940. It just took me five years to figure that out.
The US was important for making that five years* but Germany's fall was inevitable simply due to economic and logistics issues. 1/2

The gay man was never going to have the ability to dominate headlines like a cishet man who is a dad.
We remember and honor our lost, fallen, and detained because we know so few others will.

They are going to hold in limbo in the hope fatigue sets in and this quietly goes away.
The remember George Floyd, and that guy was not a sympathetic victim. This guy is. They know it. BLM will have nothing on what happens in the fall out of this situation.

The only problem with "tax the churches" as a blanket policy is you end up killing the progressive churches that are out here doing the work of supporting communities.
Only the mega churches will survive taxation. It will just make the problem worse. Target the taxes to the mega churches.

The American consumer is also only valuable when they have access to wealth.
Current policies are ripping all that wealth away from the majority of Americans.
This means there soon will be no such thing as the American Consumer

Her office is also across the street and not in the capital building.

She does, sure... but no other trans woman in that building does. Tourists, reporters, etc... are now stuck using the men's room.
Mace has also accosted cis women using the restroom because she thought they were trans.

PETA is anti-pet ownership. They'd rather euthanize all pets then "rescue" them... so shooting a dog is not a problem for them. Noem has a lot to catch up to get to PETA numbers.

There is, and when she was told by Republicans she had to use the men's room, she "I will follow the instructions and not be trouble"
McBride has stayed silent in trans issues and has supported, through silence, policies that hurt trans people
That's what makes her consistent with the other adens

Trans people: Hey Dems, can you say something nice about us?
Dems: Best I can do is vague neutrality with an abundance of hedging so that I can walk it back later.

If he is death, let it be a martyrs death that makes life better for his kids.

The reality is it comes out that this guy is dead, he could very well become the martyr that causes things to boil over and results in this country resembling a 1789 France.

Here is hoping the parade ends with the military finally going "Hey this guy is really fucking bad for the country and is ignoring the constitution we are sworn to protect, time to take the trash out."
It won't, because that would be a possibly good thing, and we are not allowed good things anymore

Well the fewer people that vote, the more likely Republicans are to win... so killing half of your constituency is not a problem for them. See COVID.
