It's really cute when the accounts whose whole identity is religiosity attempt to follow me. I write books about killing gods... I don't think you belong on this playground.

I'm excited to announce that Key of Arcandus will be getting an audio book adaptation from the amazing @paigevoice.bsky.social Work begins in March, & while I don't have a release date yet in mind, I am aiming for 2025. Visit Paige's website at: www.paigevoice.com #booksky #audiobooks #indiebooks

Heads up!!! After February 25, you will no longer be able to download kindle books that you purchased. So make sure you take the time to download and save your library this weekend. And also, divest from Bezos and Amazon!!!

That awkward moment with yourself when you see a good post and you're like, "I should repost that!" Only to realize that you're reading your own feed and you actually did the reposting days ago.

In other non-horrific news today, I finally have my mailing list up and running! People can sign up if they go to www.sefchik.com - CONTACT, then scroll to the very bottom and complete the process. That way I can still send out updates even if social media burns down. 😅

On Feb. 14th I try always to give honor to one of the greatest contributors to American democracy in our nation’s history, Frederick Douglass. Born into slavery, Douglass never knew his actual birthdate, and adopted Feb. 14th as the day. His penetrating insights about our country inspire me daily.

Watching Jinwoo Sung bring the smackdown on dungeon baddies over and over does provide some semblance of rage management in these harrowing times. Anyone else watching Solo Leveling?

For most of history, people didn’t read books, they listened to them. Audiobooks are not a shortcut, they’re a return to our roots. 📖 #BookSky

Audible is having a 2-for-1 sale right now and this nonfiction book I did, "Psychedelic Outlaws", about underground experimentation with psilocybin to combat cluster headache, leading to academic research, is a part of it. It was a truly fascinating read! #audiobook www.audible.com/pd/Psychedel...

1. Stay engaged When all the news is about Trump and pardons and lies, it is easy to want to retreat and stop paying attention. Don’t. It is precisely when things are hard that we must all lean into remaining vigilant and informed. www.democracydocket.com/opinion/10-t...

Happy BLACK History Month. I read Black books every month but I got two stacks for y'all. First stack is books by Black authors I loved and the second are the ones I’m getting to. #booksky

The most common question I receive is how everyday citizens can help in the fight for democracy. My advice, take the first step, start with something small and see what works for you. Here are ten things all of us can do. www.democracydocket.com/opinion/10-t...

Get a library card and read a banned book by a Black author this month! #BlackHistoryMonth

When Congressman John Lewis was a child, he tried to get a library card. He was turned away & told “The Library is not for coloureds” 💔 He’s a civil rights icon, lover of books, recipient of the National Book Award for Young People’s Literature. “The Library IS for Everyone” 💚 #BlackHistoryMonth

This cover alone is at the forefront of my Black History reads this year.

Black History Month is absolutely happening over here and it’s going to be magical! BNC’s Annual Black Magical History Month Celebration is back! We hope you’ll join us in this month long celebration of Black characters, stories, and people! 💜✨

Seems like a good time to point out that you can download from the library of congress, and it would be worthwhile to download probably as much as you can while you can
