Iām revealing myself more and more these days as an optimist-despite, but realisticallyā¦ there are SO many people about to be ruined that the only way for survival will be an alternative economy. Nothing top-down, just an organic coming-together outside The Markets. Who even knows anymore though. š¤

Iād suspect that proximity is part of it. Thatās the dynamic in SE Michigan after the White Flight out of Detroit. I grew up in the town equidistant from all the production hubs, Detroit, Flint, and Jackson, especially. It is not the Bigotville it used to be, but their urbanphobia was loaded af

Oooo!! I am definitely going to check out this book. Thanks for this recommendation! It is so maddening whatās happening because it never had to come to this, except for the hubris of the centrists who were too busy fighting āthe left.ā

No no, thank YOU for this work. One unnerving part of the book for me was the experience of you being undercover in such sinister spaces. Itās been a whole since I read it, and Iām still haunted by the menās conference thing esp, and your female colleague. But the result is so important. Thank you!

āA whole lot of people are gonna be really hurt by what is happening, what is coming our wayā¦ We need to call on our empathy and not judge, but listen from our hearts and welcome them into our tentābecause we are gonna need a big tent to resist successfully whatās coming.ā

Anonymous is whoever takes up the cause. Problem is thereās a whole lot of folks working nefariously who take up the framing, ā stepping into the Wizardās chamber in Oz, making claims without any evidence to stoke divisions. This statement shouldāve been made with a release of evidence. Iām waiting.

Iām into imaginative explorations of alternative universes/timelines/etc. But no one has the right to pass off known fictions as truths while claiming academic capital to back up that BS. That is the step too far for me.

Chariot of the Gods anyone? The phrase ācarefully copied cave paintingsā (somehow copied during the cold war from a cave behind the iron curtain iirc). One of my good friends and I will break into laughter at any of that ancient aliens nonsense.

What an absolutely OUTRAGEOUS position to take. š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£ I take an unhealthy amount of pleasure in āmocking and smearing the work of those who suggest alternative perspectives.ā Frankly, itās a point of pride. Thanks for this! I needed a laugh.
