It sounded like Rajan was happy to be 'impartial' towards Israel and 'impartial' against Russia.

In the typical human genome there are ~ 63500 genes and 3.1bln base pairs. If just 3 genes were 'faulty' that amounts to 250 trillion combinations. Humans are anything but a homogeneous mass of pure males and females, therefore trans people will always exist and may not fit into so-called norms.

Rather than or maybe in addition to an air package to Sudan, can UK and EU facilitate a ceasefire and peace talks with a political resolution?
Part of which might include talks with the UAE who are arguing one side. While at the same time talking to whoever is arming the other side.

Let's say the councils numbers are true, only 17 empires are affected. In that case, it's a tiny number they're fighting over. Also, it's not exactly an attractive job with career prospects and learning opportunities. Having said that most of not all bin men I've seen are diligent about their job.

Reality is that this is most likely not what Jingye wanted; it leads to a high cost and a bad reputation & would've happened whichever private corporation took over British Steel - there's a reason why the previous Indian owners wanted out after-all.
It's a failure of government of both colours.

Has anyone asked Jingye executives for their side of the story? What I'm not understanding is why they would intentionally harm their business, it would only lead to losses for them. And also, the statement government are a bunch of liars.

I like the way you went from being concerned about the poor at the Resolution foundation to "I have a mortgage to pay!"
BTW, did you tell them about the cuts to the disabled and why you voted for them.

US has a monopoly on social media, it's about time this was broken. A start would be all social media to keep UK citizens' data onshore as well as operating through an onshore entity. User data should also be private for non commercial purpose only with an option to exclude political targeting.

It's not about hiding Israeli crimes (just look at all the evidence on tiktok or other social media), it's about making sure they're not discussed in political circles.
The MPs dared go near the 'electric fence'!

It's about time we had a political party who's defence strategy was to promote peaceful conflict resolution, rather than arming one side.
That way there's less migration with the added benefit of trade opportunities.

Starmer doesn't want the truth, he only wants to tell you lies. How is it that people so supportive of Israel's war crimes have established a strong foothold in our media and political forums?

It's not just the complicity of the UK government in East crimes in Gaza, but also the role of British or dual nationals that have participated in them.
(Note: if Brits were involved, should security agencies evict all their relatives and blow up their houses?)

If the politicians that create the environment for war were happy to send their kids to the front line then there may be a case, but I very much doubt that.
The victims of war are usually the poorest, both in terms of the soldiers and their targets.

Even if the Israelis announced the extermination of Palestinians, the UK and US governments would just give a gallic shrug.

Why isn't this question asked of Israeli spokespeople on UK media...
Do you/Israel value Israeli and Palestinians lives equally?
If so, can you explain why Israel has bombed every civilian corner of Gaza and why only Palestinians are evicted from homes in the West Bank?

Is one country part of the richest trading block in the world with free movement of people and access to subsidies for some of its industry? Maybe that country is more even in terms of wealth and land rights?

Class in UK is a way of compartmentalizing people, a way of retaining the established hierarchy. Jobs and therefore wealth is to be reserved for the few, while the rest of us scamper for the dregs. I grew up in a similar environment to you, but prefer to say my parents were of modest means.

How come no journalist asks where Tice gets his figures from to pronounce there's too many people feigning mental health?
Hope does he determine what is and isn't acceptable mental health?

What's long overdue is the breakdown of US monopoly on social media and to some extent e-commerce. If a digital services tax along with onshoring of data and sales (and therefore taxes) facilitates that the better. I would also force social media to have data settings to private by default.

Even if there's a tiny amount of growth, the main negotiators will be the wealthiest. It's about time we had a better measure to live by....
Better healthcare
Better public transport for the entire country
Cleaner air
Better education
As well as more disposable income

When you've outsourced a large part of the waiting list to the private sector, where will you get the doctor's from to employ in the NHS?

The political class and three media have essentially colluded on the Palestinians. The only way to make sure they don't get away with it is to vote against the politicians and boycott the media.

To Labour and independent MPs, of you're on the side of the 99% and care about public services consider joining the @greenparty.org.uk. When they get to 10 MPs, finding and recognition increases theirs and your profile.
It's a win-win!

Trump, Starmer and EU with the exception (possibly of Ireland and Spain) have a racialised view of crime; innocents we like matter, others don't.

Deregulating the banks and polluters is basically throwing the dice; if it pays off they get the growth they (or rather their donors) get the growth they crave for. If it doesn't, we have the risk of another financial disaster or environmental disaster, with the bill paid for by the tax payer.

Sudan, South Sudan, Eritrea, Somalia have been in near perpetual war for decades. It's possible there are some African or even international actors trying to stop these wars, but why has there been so little success?

It's not just the media that has dehumanized the Palestinians, but virtually the entire political class. Israeli politicians can say and do whatever they like (ethnic cleansing, collective punishment, genocide) and Trump, Starmer, Macron and even the Arab states will either back them or be silent.

I think the regulator should force the offending media to,
1. Spend the same amount of time and prominence on the correction as the lie.
2. If judged malicious a hefty fine, which multiplies with frequency.
comment in response to

This is how the media influences people; they spend 30-40 minutes at prime time lying to you then spend 10 seconds correcting the lie after it's sunk in. It's deliberate and should have consequences.
