I am a criminology graduate with a Master of Laws in Legal Professional Practice. After a six-month placement at a criminal defense firm, I am seeking my next QWE in preparation for the SQE. Love law and talking about it.

Oh I completely agree, I'm just pointing out legally leaving the ECHR wont be as simple as leaving the EU was no matter what the likes of reform seem to think.

I honestly cant see him going anywhere, or this debate in January resulting in a new election. so i would say at least 4 years. even if the Tories got back in tomorrow the legal process to leave the ECHR will take years, this article explains it better than I can consoc.org.uk/leaving-the-...

I wouldn't worry leaving the ECHR is not the same as leaving the EU was its a very long legal process and whatever people are shouting its doubtful the PM will even entertain the idea

1. A life tarrif in England and Wales starts at 25 years and then is decreased and importantly INCREASED based on mitigating and aggravating factors. It can be more than 25 years.

I heard this is similar to shepherds pie 🇬🇧 but with tater tots as the topping instead of mashed potatoes? If so I feel this could be interesting

IMO the fairness of the policies depends on how broadly they define the term "care." Does it include foster children and kinship care? Will it apply to all looked-after children (LAC) and former LAC, or will it, as many policies tend to do, exclude those in kinship care?

Self-employed businesses, when passed down, face an IHT cap of £325K. In contrast, farms have a higher cap of £1M, with only those valued over this amount subject to a reduced IHT rate of 20% instead of the standard 40%. They are still getting hefty tax breaks

Could you think of any other CRIMINAL who would behave like this because I have met a few and none would be so brazen
comment in response to post
And the cap will be £325,000 not £1m
