I've just read the sentencing remarks for HMA v Iain Owens, Elaine Lannery, Lesley Williams, Paul Brannan, Scott Forbes, Barry Watson & John Clark and I often don't consider how complicated a process sentencing can be.

A year ago today, I graduated with a Master of Laws degree. I went from being a girl who grew up on a council estate with no GCSEs to becoming a Master of Laws at the age of 37! I take pride in my background; it makes me a better advocate for everyone.
