Elon was wildly successful. It was never about "efficiency". It was an ideological purge.

We should be building cities and reducing investment in exurban sprawl.

End CA sales tax because of tariffs and make up the difference by repealing Prop 13 for DT and Elons properties

Right. None of what he's doing is good for businesses or high income earners. His policies are for the specific benefit of his inner circle and that's it.

lol that's the most hilarious woke washing of Howard Jarvis yet. Your savior prop13.wtf/2023/06/18/h...

You ever stop to think that maybe those places are affordable for new people *because* they don't have Prop 13?
comment in response to post
So sad. First you're hiding behind grannies and now you're hiding behind the poor.

I'm not asking for any subsidies, I'm asking you to pay your damn taxes. Leech.
comment in response to post
Buddy if you "earned" it then why do you need me to pay for it??
comment in response to post
Worst cope yet. Keep trying.
comment in response to post
The "ulterior motive" is that I'm sick of paying rich people's taxes for them
comment in response to post
Thought I'd need to break out the crayons for you
comment in response to post
Pay your damn taxes, leech.
comment in response to post
Yeah nothing says working class like making so much money on property investments that you can't afford taxes

comment in response to post
High income seniors can use their high income to pay their taxes. Not complicated. Young able-bodied people of working age who fell ass backwards into a real estate jackpot beyond what they ever planned for? Pay your damn taxes, leech.

Rich homeowners wanted to punish the government. It was a "tax revolt" to punish the government, DOGE of the 1970s. That's why it applies to country clubs and oil fields -- Jarvis wanted to inflict as much pain on the state as possible. It's malice and greed and nothing more.

Lies. The California Tax Postponement Program predates Prop 13 and ensures that low income seniors never have to pay a dime.

Autotune the news, 15 years later.

You're talking about Elon, maybe a few crypto guys. That's it. Most of tech is as left as you can get. That's why T has been threatening it nonstop since his first term
comment in response to post
The data is right there. You can go into opensecrets and check for yourself. The right has been losing their shit over tech for the past decade and this is why. Then Elon goes crazy and suddenly the left says "screw it, all you guys go over there"
comment in response to post
I gave you data on worker donations. I gave you data on leader donations. The vast majority of the industry was out there writing checks for Kamala. And you have? What?

tf? If you don't know "the whole story" then what are you doing calling out legit research on it? Like at least try to back yourself up a bit.
comment in response to post
Then what's the whole story? Even looking at the CEOs it's essentially everyone vs. Elon+crypto. You couldn't ask for a more left wing industry. But this comment section is foaming at the mouth to kick engineers to the right. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2024...
comment in response to post
If you have the data I'm all ears. But even looking at the bosses instead of the workers it's about as left as you can get for an industry (except for Elon) www.theguardian.com/us-news/2024...

Tech was not backing Trump. I understand everyone in this comment section has just been frothing at the chance to yell "nerds" and shrink the tent, but it's just not reality.
