Linda from Outbreak gets slept on for how her minor appearance and actions are technically wildly important in regards to bringing down Umbrella.

Not disagreeing that Resident Evil has a representation problem (especially for black females) but there are several black characters who are still alive — I wouldn’t say they are killed more than any other demographic in the franchise.

Sir, they aren’t chasing a three year old, they’re chasing the Vice President of the United States. 🙄

I remember when DBD dropped the RPD map and everyone was SCREAMING about how 'too big and too confusing' the map was -- but me, a veteran RE2'r was perfectly at home (esp. with the added shortcuts, which admittedly did take some time to learn). 🥹

I know it's a bit conceptually stale, but I think it'd be cool to get 28DL-like rage infected in a survival-horror RE game, have them in smaller numbers but be faster, deadlier and more intimidating than in TLOU or L4D. I didn't think we'd get the RE-verse versions of werewolves and vampires first.

Discounting remakes, we haven't had T-Virus zombies in a proper Resident Evil title in roughly 16 years. It's a hallmark of modern-RE to have "not zombies" as enemies. I guess it makes sense when the t-Virus has legit cures/vaccines in-universe and zombies were kinda overdone in pop media.

They've been taught poor people are not humans but ravenous violent criminals who would murder, r*pe, steal and horde everything for themselves if given the chance. In other words, the thing the rich do all the time.

Those dinosaur designs are WILD such a blend between very early depictions and modern interpretations.

Movie posters have been saying "only in theaters" for decades. It's not a post-COVID thing, you're only just now noticing it because of COVID.

To be fair, Indy games frequently cook. Fate of Atlantis, Emperor's Tomb, Staff of Kings (Wii version anyway) -- and of course the legendary LEGO game. Glad to hear The Great Circle carries that torch after all the doubt surrounding it.

I remember playing the demo for this game on the PS3 and loving the heck out of it (and I'm not usually one for the whole "dark fairytale" aesthetic) and being disappointed when someone said it was cancelled --- only to find out like 10 years later that it came out in October 2007. 💀

Bloober's SH2R was the one I was most worried about & Ass-cension was the one I knew would be a shitshow from announcement. So, I'm kinda glad we climbed over those hills first -- because I'm optimistic about Townfall & f due to the creatives involved and the experimental forward-thinking approach.
