Went to one of the demonstrations today. I have pretty bad agoraphobia, tbh, and I don't like to do things alone, so this is my first. Is it normal to feel so... empty afterwards? A few parts were motivating, but I just felt frustrated that all the CTAs were to just keep putting pressure on reps. 🧵

Hey this is my friend Khaled and his four kids! They're from Gaza and have lost everything. They've been displaced again and don't have internet access rn. Please donate or share if you can! 💖 www.gofundme.com/f/help-evacu...

Normal and often helpful people: we need to do a better job doing leftist outreach for men. Men need supportive voices and role models, and they’re finding them on the right Right wing influencers: you’re all pussies and im going to kill you

The Mr. Rogers advice for moments of crisis is a useful thing to remember right now. Look for the helpers. Look for the people organizing to protect the most vulnerable. Look for the people who have been concretely planning for how to respond, and are ready to implement. Join them, if you can.

I expected to wake up exhausted, despondent. but I looked up and for the first time in my life I thought, "there's no one left to look to. it's just us." so I am shocked at how I feel: furious, clear-eyed, galvanized. we who saw this from the beginning, for better or worse, it's our time to lead.

we in video games have an even greater obligation to make noise and not yield in the face of the right because our industry's complacency and cowardice is a significant catalyst for how we arrived at this outcome. angry gamers are cowards. call their bluff, every time.

It should not be understated how a good gaming session with friends can help improve your mental wellbeing

I've talked to a few folks this morning who were talking about stopping work on their creative projects. Because it's "not important anymore." I don't know who needs to hear this, but DON'T DO THAT. We win by living our lives as loudly and truly as we can. That includes your "silly" art project.

New this morning

How many lives do you think Bo Burnham inadvertently saved with that lime about smelling burnt toast?

Going outside but shaking my head the whole time so people know I don’t agree with what’s going on

Grieve as you must, despair even, but after that, stand up and keep fighting. Fight with compassion in whatever means you have possible, even if that means you just keep breathing. Merely existing is fighting against tyranny.

I'm still looking for more Philippine/🇵🇭 diaspora videogame and tabletop devs to add to this starter pack! go.bsky.app/EnqR1mr

it’s quite possible that punk rock is on the verge of getting good again

Hey other parents, what are you telling your kids before school tomorrow?

You. Yes you. Stop scrolling. Listen to me for a second. You're going to be okay. Tomorrow's another day and no matter what happens, the best thing you can do is keep on going. The world is better because you're in it and don't let ANYONE tell you otherwise.

This little guy is from Moss 2. He’s based on a dung beetle. He pushes his rolling cannon around, mounts, and fires it. I’d animate the bug itself moving. But the way the cannon reacts is nearly 100% generated using my spatial tools. Primarily the physics and aim tools. He was so easy to animate!

There's something so isolating about being fat and not funny. No one cares about the fat insightful friend or the fat creative friend because they don't stick around long enough to get to know you if you aren't immediately funny. If you can't immediately ease their discomfort, they're out.

The dog is trying to escape!

An interesting thing about being a cusper is that you watched millennials age out of cringe and embrace sincerity just for our own gen to dive right back into cringe puritanism. Maybe it's inevitable, but I'd rather be cringe than constantly check myself.
