Finally finished this. Not my favourite book ever, but it was really good. 4 stars #booksky

Just finished Outside the Door by @janecasey.bsky.social. Loved it so much!

Love, love, love this book! The best in the series! #booksky @janecasey.bsky.social

I DNFed it back in November. 50% in now and I really like it! #booksky

Just finished Death at the Sign of the Rook by Kate Atkinson. The premise was good but, sadly, the execution was not. It was confusing. Nice to meet Brodie and Reggie again. 3 stars #booksky

I loved The Killing Sense by @samblakebooks.bsky.social! A page turner set in Paris it's the story of Kate, a single mother who has won a competition. Strange things start happening. Who has been in her flat? And what about the redheads that have gone missing? Highly recommended. #booksky

Poor Elon 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Currently reading and loving this. Jackson Brodie is back! #booksky 💙📚

Another case for Frieda Klein. This time she is asked to investigate a cold case. A teenager murdered her mother, brother and step-father but the original investigation was full of flaws. There’s a huge twist which I didn’t see coming. Tragic and sad but recommended. #booksky 💙📚

Jeff Bezos never wanted this cartoon to become public. He killed it, and as a result, pulitzer prize editorial cartoonist Ann Telnaes quit. Make sure everyone sees this cartoon.

Frieda Klein is back! And she is on the run! Her ex-boyfriend has been murdered and she is the prime suspect. Loved this but I think Frieda's behaviour wasn’t very believable. #booksky 💙📚

Parmesan Shortbreads are #RecipeOfTheDay, and if you want something to hand round with drinks on NYE, look no further! Their mild, savoury butteriness goes so well with crisp bubbles www.nigella.com/recipes/parm...

Finished this. Things started happening at 60%. It's gotten interesting if you’re curious about authors' lives and publishing. But it's not a suspense novel and it would've been better as a novella. #booksky 💙📚

50% in and nothing has happened. No speech marks, dull, no plot, no suspense, nothing. #booksky 💙📚

💓🌲🐾tis the season 🐾🌲💓 Before this Christmas Day ends Must Share....my heart These Shelter Dogs picking out their very own gift PLEASE SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL PET SHELTER PLEASE ADOPT DONT SHOP 🌲♥️🐾🌲🐾❤️🌲🐾❤️🐾🌲

This is one of my favourite series. Frieda goes back to the hometown she left when she was a teenager. It was very interesting, we finally got to know Frieda better, we understand why she is the way she is. Recommended! #booksky 💙📚

Gisèle Pelicot has given us the gift of showing us the world as it really is. Now we have to work out how to live. I've written about the challenge that faces all women in the aftermath of the Pelicot trial. Link in bio!

Currently reading this. It's much better than the previous book in the series. We get to know Frieda better! #booksky 💙📚

Currently reading The Secret History. It's readable, well written but I don’t get the hype. #booksky

BLOW THIS UP! Striking Amazon workers picketing outside an Amazon warehouse were greeted by a torrent of water in freezing temperatures from Bezos. These mega corporations & billionaires will stop at NOTHING to stop us from organizing. Fuck that! We stand with WORKERS. #SolidaritySeason

Get a library card even if you're not planning to use it. It impacts their funding.

Will the detective investigating your murder be sad?

Banning ‘The Girl on the Train’ isn’t just about censorship, it’s an attack on the voices of women who are navigating the layers of motherhood, marriage, & societal pressures. Author Paula Hawkins’ explorations on the dark realities of womanhood deserve to be read. She joins me at 11a on #Velshi.

Featuring great recommendations and me. I’m talking about a truly brilliant Agatha Christie, in very good company. www.theguardian.com/books/2024/d...

@katemossewriter.bsky.social could not have put it better. How can any AI company justify stealing authors’ works? And we need the government to step up and protect the creative industries (£126bn to UK per year!). AI’s assault on our intellectual property must be stopped on.ft.com/3ZRBSDA

Now #Musk is backing #AfD as well as suggesting a $100 million donation to #ReformUK is it time restore UK sovereignty and ban foreign political donations? @goldbergradio.bsky.social talks to @unlockdemocracy.bsky.social and @carumbasra.bsky.social From @bylinetimes.bsky.social pod.fo/e/293c57

Starbucks workers AND Amazon workers are on nationwide strikes during one of the busiest shopping periods of the year. I truly hope their bosses are sweating bullets :)

Not sure about this. I like Frieda, she's a very interesting protagonist but this book was about two different cases, the murdered wife and mother and the missing girls. It was confusimg and convoluted. 3 stars because I like Frieda and Karlsson. #booksky

Loved this! It's book 2 in the Frieda Klein series. Very gripping and with an enigmatic main character. #booksky

Just finished this. A sad and tragic tale set during the recession in Ireland. Tana French is really one of the best crime writers ever. Recommended. 💙📚
