he's truly dumb as fuck lol he's admitting it's affecting him

Girls shouldn't have to work if they're so so sleepy

🇺🇸 Trumps United States ⬇️ 🧵 1/ Smithsonian: A recent executive order targets the Smithsonian Institution, which operates more than 20 museums and research centres visited by millions every year in Washington DC and New York City.

Oh crazy. How did they get there, CNN? This passive voice gives no indication so I have to assume that they buried themselves there as propaganda to make Israel look bad rather than the more obvious explanation that Israel murdered aid workers and then buried their bodies in a mass grave.

It's wild how we don't have the money for reliable plumbing, yet the cops get infinite money. Truly makes you question the priorities of the people in charge. Perhaps they like surveillance and harassment more than clean water?

I adore that in the past few set stories Loot has had Mama Vraska concerned for his wellbeing and every character except for some blue robed dickhead has been more than willing to help with babysitting duties

These are innocent people, seeking asylum, who have been shipped to the comic book version of a totalitarian labor camp, with zero process at all, based on a deeply xenophobic administration noticing their tattoos. It's fascism outright, at home, and history will damn the Democrats who are silent

now is the perfect time for me to start a cooperatively owned mall thrift store chain called Finally 22

Just gonna point out she is saying this just 50 yards or so from Lafayette Square, which sits immediately outside the White House and includes a giant statue of General Marquis de Lafayette, a hero of the Revolution and a visible reminder of the key role France played in securing U.S. independence.

And everyone, when evaluating James Carville's winning advice, please consider what Gavin Newsom's anti-trans swing has done for his numbers:

One of the “gang members” that was disappeared and deported is a queer tattoo artist

Have tried to explain over the years that anti-criminalization work is anti-fascist work.

Harvard alum here to say that what happens to Univ of Maine and other public universities like it is way more important than anything financial that is happening to Columbia right now because Columbia can withstand the financial storm. and our public unis serve people Columbia wouldn’t sniff at.

Those people who think that throwing trans people under the bus is necessary to beat MAGA: you’re fucking wrong.

we love campus free speech. we need to let weird middle aged freaks go to the center of campus to yell at students about how they are faggots. but the second students start saying controversial things like “children shouldn’t be bombed” we must deport them

*sigh* Totalitarian regimes are not ones in which people stop working. The world does not suddenly become tinged with sepia when you are no longer free. Sunlight will still shine. Jobs will still exist—indeed, the issue you may have is it becomes harder to not work than ever before.

This, by the by, is an effing disaster if it holds up. The number of public libraries that will go under if IMLS is shuttered is mind-boggling. www.whitehouse.gov/presidential...

The only reason this hasn’t also been treated like an alarming constitutional crisis concerning free speech is because people in positions of influence in the media, business, and politics at least tacitly agree with the aims of this movement.

they needed ten to break the filibuster and they got ten. they always get the exact amount. every single fucking time.

Breaking — 10 Senate Democrats voted with Republicans to advance their funding bill, including: Catherine Cortez Masto Dick Durbin John Fetterman Kirsten Gillibrand Maggie Hassan Angus King Gary Peters Brian Schatz Chuck Schumer Jeanne Shaheen

For the Ides of March this year, we should all come together and embrace what the holiday is really about.

hey, cis folks i keep being like, "we need you to stand with trans people because there aren't enough trans people to win the fight alone" and...is it usually good for a tiny minority group when the government starts declaring their legal documents inherently fraudulent?

Law professor here—the proper term for when the executive decides that court orders aren’t binding on them because they don’t like them is “fascism.”

It's clear Chuck Schumer is not cut out to lead the senate Democrats. There needs to be a vote of no confidence and he needs to be replaced with someone willing to fight. Trump and Elon are dismantling democracy while Schumer whines and capitulates.

this is what they may say in a matter of months in order to enact a ban on federal funding from going to anyone who provides gender affirming care — hospitals, doctors, insurers.

In the almost certainly misplaced hope that it will do some good, I’m going to explain why your medical thing needs to NOT DO THIS.

tesla car vehicles will have more legal protections than trans people

I need y'all to sit with this headline and understand what is being done to our community. They're trying to criminalize our very existence. This is a campaign of eradication. www.nbcnews.com/nbc-out/rcna...

Yes. If DHS can barge in, say your visa was revoked, be told you have a green card, say it's revoked too, and then disappear you so that neither your lawyer nor your family can find you, then all the guardrails are gone. There is no policy, practice, or law protecting anyone.

Step right up, y’all! It’s your Weekend trans+ history lesson! It’s about Texas, and it’s about all of us. 1/🧵

"You can't policy your way out of a right-wing propaganda problem." Louder for the people in the back! At no point will any right-wing party be like "You know what, I think as a nation we are now cruel enough to immigrants and LGBTQ-people. Let's focus on something else for a change."

i’m sorry, i’m tired of this shit. there was no pronoun policing. i have encountered exactly three or four land acknowledgments in like ten years, and the most you’ll hear about “intersectionality” is in liberal nonprofits. this is just freefloating resentment masquerading as analysis.

old Soviet joke: a man goes to a newsstand daily, picks up the paper, but never buys. one day the seller says “comrade, why don’t you ever buy a paper?” he replies, “I’m only looking for obituaries.” “but obituaries are at the back, not the cover!” he replies: “not the one I’m looking for.”

Increasingly what I'm seeing in liberal spaces is trans people being told we're an electoral liability. Increasingly what I'm seeing in progressive and leftist spaces is trans people being told that we're not important enough when compared with "real oppression." And honestly it's infuriating.
