Or to respond to Zelensky not wearing a suit, people are posting photos of Churchill in a jumpsuit. Yay for Churchill, but it's just dumb that this is even brought up. Attack the message in the first place, instead of using any kind of logic that we are used to.

Yes, I have no clue how admins survive at all at UCLA. It can often be thankless and tough work. I worked as an office temp at UW-Madison before library school and ran the paperwork for three tenure-track hires. Vital work to a department's success, but of course it's "just" an office job.

Yeah, I'd say I'm less concerned about UC retirement, a bit more concerned if my job will actually exist. I think my union contract accounts for this in some way, though. Related: I never made enough money until I joined a union shop. What a coincidence!

Ha, exactly. I need to get that shit in order, too. I work remotely for UCLA, the Hispanic American Periodicals Index. Except when/if we get Title VI money, we are self-sustaining...for now. (And of course Title VI is probably going away.)

Just noticed, btw - the page appears to have been edited back to reflect LGBTQIA+ now! Still, fuck whoever at the university changed it in the first place.

how do we focus taking it from him instead of giving up from the start? I know the answer doesn't lie with our supposed leaders, who mostly just seem out of their depth now.

It looks like it takes a minimum of eight accounts to make a starter pack. Three so far, maybe four? I'll search again every so often. My partner and I are a couple of blocks from the Shiras stop. Howdy!

I'm not sure either! I guess "smaller than the giant thing we have." Good for big trips, less needed most of the time. But I forgot they have luggage. Marshall's, too. Maybe Macy's?
