I only like maduros if they are mushy inside and there is a carmelized coating that forms on them. you make them with really ripe plantains though. the ones made with green are tostones, and I find those a bit plain unless I eat with some garlic aioli or something like that.

oh, they definitely get better medical care than I do, although I’ve been getting better about myself. I just harassed Brian into making a doctor’s appointment. he hasn’t been for over five years.

we have three cats now, and they are all older. healthy though, at least! still catching up on medical bills!

oh, it’s so hard to lose them. we’ve lost several of our kitties just in the last few years. I still tear up when I think about them. I get sad about my dog that passed away like twenty years ago.
