I do, with my closest friends. But I would probably be careful not to use it with black women who I am not close with. Similar to complimenting hair. I would compliment a black friend's hair, if we are already close, but not a stranger.

Devastating. And the longer term effect this will have on the culture of the military and for new recruits who may have wanted to enter. This coupled with PH's nomination and anti-woman stance will create an unsupportive environment for many who may have wanted to join.

It doesn't seem cost is really the reason though, likely to privatize institutions in order to remake them into what they want, or what they are ok with destroying.

It will be an uphill battle to teach them that racism, sexism, xenophobia, corruption, violence...
Before you could try to say we strove for excellence and don't accept these violations. But when the entire new administration believes in the violations what do you do?
