We had rain over the weekend for the first time since late September, my 5 Huskies are actually laying down (resting up for their next round of shenanigans), and I have delicious leftovers from celebrating our 28th wedding anniversary to eat for lunch.
My wife and my work.
On the latter, I’m very fortunate, as that the itinerary has me leaving the United States for several weeks…. And the guilt is crushing.
Beach stroll here in SoCal - joy. And coping with election induced depression by turning off 24 hour news (function as rage machines) and curating who to follow here as a new user
The lack of cable news on my TV and the demise of Space Karen's hellsite. My soul needs Arthur the kitty and the brighter mood here and maybe a British crime drama or two.
I haven't felt joy or much of anything really since March 2020 I think but honestly even before that it wasn't going so well. Will you be my new father?
Joy today is looking at pics I took on a trip to Morocco.
Also enjoying Bluesky where I can post without being called a libtard or told to make some random guy a sandwich.
Will your spouse be joining BlueSky? I hope he is creating a quasi government-in-exile where databases, data, web pages, and documents can be safely secured during the coming Reign of Terror. Truth and facts will be essential when/if we have an opportunity to restore our democracy and government.
I was a blue dot in a red family on my mother’s side.
Last night, I learned that the cousins on my father’s side are LGBTQ and college educated. I’m 58 years old and finally understand why I didn’t fit in. 💙 Looking forward to meeting them in person.
I'm knitting a pair of socks. I need to finish the second sleeve on a simple raglan pullover made with recycled cotton. I am crocheting a king-size afghan made with all sorts of scrap acrylic yarn. There's no way I'd use wool or yak or alpaca for something the dogs and cat will use.
Knowing that you are going to be the first 1st Gentlemen. That's what's bringing me joy. I believe in Pete and hope he's ready to run for 2028. His country is going to need him.
It’s been very hard to find joy & I expect this to be a long and extraordinarily difficult road, but I can say my husband, son, and our sweet pups are of great comfort. I will try to find joy in the small stuff. Much love to you, Pete, and the babies. Y’all are a shining light. 💙💙💙
What brings me joy today? The thought of you , Pete, and the kids living in the White House starting in 2029. I am an old man who met you and your husband and will work hard to live long enough to see you and Pete and America victorious.
I’m trying. Down because our insurance won’t pay for a power assist for my daughters wheelchair, so we got a bulkier wheelchair and she is being bullied for using it at school so she’s not using it
Our wee dogs bring us great joy, even when they get pushy when we are: “slow with the ball”, “slow with the treats” “slow for the walk” “slow for any meal” “slow with a belly rub” “slow to let them out” “slow to let them in” you get the picture. 😂

Thanks for asking and I hope you had a great day. ☺️

Don’t judge me.

Use it to decompress
The joy will return
What are you making right now?
I’ve started a sweater that I tried knitting once before. I’m using different yarn & anticipating a better outcome
Socks used to be my go-to project because they’re portable
Now I’m doing sweaters & apparently my second sock syndrome has morphed into second sleeve syndrome
Please encourage Pete to join.
Winter is coming and I want to avoid snow when I can.

Real answer is my every morning video breakfast with my mom tradition we started during the pandemic. And my cats.
Chocolate covered almonds and iced coffee.
