That's a great question. I used to watch football frequently, so much went behind pay walls. I tried to keep up, but eventually moved on and just stopped being interested in it entirely. My love for cycling is greater than football, but text commentary is not quite enough.

I mostly wear one, not for safety (because we all know their limitations) but to shield me from being victim blamed by police/media in the event i am run over by a driver.

That's not good enough, moving out slightly is not consideration. Whoever makes these decisions and supports them is not fit to do the job and should resign. I've not reported anything for months, they are only interested in making excuses for dangerous drivers.

I ger frequently tailgated by everything from scooters to double decker buses. Essex Police couldn't give a toss. It's a horrid and completely unnecessary experience.

Whether I'm driving, cycling or on foot the sheer numbers of phone drivers is staggering. I think Essex Police have given up, our Vision Zero stats are all going the wrong way.
