Of course, the bed listed as a standard king size, to go with my king size mattress and super strong king size slats, is slightly wider than my last one, also a standard king, and my slats fall through. I have engineered a fix but need long bolts which I can't get til tomorrow. Sofa for me tonight.

When I say ready I mean I'm petrified of brief interaction with delivery men, and wish I could just unlock the front door and hide until they're done. But I'm guessing they'll need directions to the right room and a signature or something.

For wet weather my preference is wooly tights and 3/4 length trousers/knee or above skirt, as if I wear anything long it's guaranteed to be dragged in a puddle.

It's been 'buy nothing day' to me for about 25 years because that's what happens when you learn about the concept of Black Friday through punk forums. It's unclear if I'm now meant to extend the buying nothing into the entire season.

I found myself becoming a pasta robot making them on autopilot then becoming increasingly frustrated that no-one has made a pasta roller that's easy to clean. Making them less often has meant I appreciate them more when I do.

My Canadian! He was my step-dad for ages, but split from my Mum. He emailed a Happy Birthday message a couple of years later, which lead to 7 years (so far) of video calls and meeting up for a holiday in France. My 'real Dad' fucked off when I was 2, I'm lucky to have a Canadian. Here's his dog!
