I don’t know why it’s persisted, but now I would advise any woman getting married not to adopt her husband’s last name.

It was actually more a coercive custom. There was actual pressure from society to change your name. I’m sure it would have raised issues in other ways too, financially because women didn’t have financial independence, joint ownership of property, etc.

Women, keep your passports current if you have one. If you don’t have one and you can afford it, get one. In the meantime every woman needs to track down her birth certificate and her marriage license. We should be having seminars on this.

At first I didn’t, but plenty of people had something to say. Then there was the question of financial security and credit and the kids. No one thing, but it was just simpler for a lot of reasons.

Exactly the kind of leadership we’ve come to expect from Trump in times of crisis. Point fingers at someone else. Engage in meaningless speculation. Stoke fear and/or resentment.

Just force them to live it.

Yeah and I’ll never trust it now.

Go back to your PCP first. Sometimes it’s a coding issue in the referral.

I think 30 seconds on social media could have told him how that would be received.

Kale works in colcannon in the same way… it’s disguised by potatoes, butter, salt and onion.

It doesn’t benefit them, but it’s time we faced it… Trump voters are America’s enemies. They hate this country because it doesn’t reflect their narrow white Christian idea of America.

That’s kind of the point of all these appointments… undermine the system… destroy the government.

I feel that way about cilantro. But I can handle kale with bacon and dressing and a load of other stuff.

Oh, so that’s what that was!

Gee, we should have that here.

As if Trump is worried about the dollar and its role in the global markets. Trump only cares about himself. He didn’t write this.

Everyone is suggesting Signal or Whats App. I wish someone who understands these things would do an online explanation for the rest of us with specific examples of how it can be used to circumvent a hostile government.

Good news for Trump.

Not sure we deserve it, but we’ll do our best.

Much appreciated. That really touched me. 💙

#Trumpflation let’s start now. I’m sure it will be a well-worn hashtag.

I mean obvi! But let’s not hurt his feelings.

The thermal plastic pot of coffee on the table is just my favorite part. The server sets your food down and you don’t need them again until the check. You’re free to read the paper uninterrupted.

This is how they will get away with everything, they’ll hide the outcomes of their policies and claim success. The public has a right to know what’s going on and we can’t allow this to stand.

You’ll never throw leftover French fries away again. Better reheated in an air fryer than they were originally.

Versions of Trump = sure to fail. So in a way, that’s comforting.

It’s the interviews and the inane things they say that go unchallenged. It just makes America more stupid when you keep giving a platform to the willfully ignorant.

I’ve been following you since Threads. I’m a mom of two daughters a grandmother of two granddaughters and I’m totally bummed about the election, but I’m trying to focus on the things I can do … like help elect Democrats in Virginia.
