Feel like I have to get the evil in there for cliche purposes.
J. Edgar Hoover or Joe McCarthy?
Or Socks - because it makes me happy.

Now that you mention it, it has been nice to have Gabbard and RFKjr be the right's problem.
Testicular parasite induced inflammation: not even once.

As an utter dork, I still say NPC as an insult is bizarre.
For video games, the NPCs are the only models with a consistent code of ethics. And Fallout 76 suuuucked without the NPCs.
For ttrpgs, the NPCs are usually more fleshed out than the PCs - unless your DM just sucks.

Guess that depends on which of the two princesses you mean. Gloria isn't a princess because Germany no longer recognizes princesses, I suppose. But Beatrice did the investiture, and not sure Sicily stopped recognizing titles.
Feels gross just thinking about it as an American really.

I mean, it's the same sentence but I get your point.
The first part of the clause is definitely the greater offense.

Don't forget Samuel Alito accepting that knighthood.

I can focus on a damaging action while also focusing on other damaging actions.
I got powers.

He has enough hostages it wouldn't be zero.
And I'm sure he would hold a "vote" like he did earlier in the war in the Russian held "liberated" regions.
But really, I'd imagine he's thinking clustered civilians are easier to kill in large numbers.

You ever see Southpark?
You know the Goth kids who gripe about "conformists"?

Just wish the guy had better taste in books.

I liked the all nighter speech marathon against Vought, but it didn't get enough press.
And utter crap that Bondi is, she still ain't Gaetz.
That said, we voters fucked it, we voters fix it.

So the government shutdown plan?
It seemed weird the article avoided mentioning that.

Not the main thing wrong with idea, but military coup as a plan?
It feels bougie. Really really bougie.

Gotta wonder if Gregg had been at Commerce under Obamaif ACA would have passed in any form considering his heavy attacks on it.
I guess he wouldn't have had that opportunity to vote against the ACA if he had been Commerce Secretary though.
comment in response to
post
Didn't Obama pull the Gregg nom himself just a bit after that whole Pease pillage deal? Coulda sworn Gregg ended up saying he wouldn't support Obama's policies at Commerce.
So far currently, Gaetz was stopped and I don't honestly know what happened with those two DEA head nominees.

I take some comfort in the argument about it though. Only a healthy American political party argues with itself this much about anything.

Morrowind NPCs had more warmth (and better AI) than this.

What does this even mean: "voters hadn't bought this argument from voters"?
Was this AI written?

Biden's 2024 State of the Union was focused almost entirely on the current threat to Democracy posed by the Republican party.
The Republican counter to that argument was egg prices.
Then Americans voted, or failed to vote.

Did he move?
It looks like before the election he thought Trump and Harris were both awful with Harris slightly worse. Now he says Trump DOJ is like the Biden DOJ.
Feh.

I can't come up with a better strategy for killing more people than that.

Less subtle than that. They are killing people.

In the 80's movie world, this would require a musical montage.

If we take that as given (sounds about right to me), what's the out?
How does a GOP MoC make an effective move without being left holding the bag?
They get the blame for enabling Trump, and the blame from the loons for resisting Trump if they act against. That's a nasty bag.

That already happened at the Pentagon when he gave NPR's office space to Breitbart. And pretty sure Trump's first AG pick is over at OAN now.
Don't really understand your reasoning here. I mean sure the WH might continue to do what they are now doing. And?

Which didn't make a lot of sense. If she was interim, someone without scruples can take the job whether she quits or not.
It sounded like a dig against her, but evidently not one you intended.
comment in response to

You said it was good that she quit "but, as Trump learned in his first term, it also means that someone without such scruples can take the job instead. Sassoon was only interim but the point remains."

He was right too. I'll keep my soul, thanks. Not nearly gullible enough for that trade.
comment in response to

Nah.
Even if I thought "If you can't beat 'em join 'em" would get you something different than the festering corpse the Republicans have, it's still just too lame and weird for me.

I sometimes feel the reason people and the media gripe so heavily on the Democrats is that the Democrats still have a sense of shame and responsibility, so it's possible to still get a rise out of us.
comment in response to
post
Problem is, many of those parliamentary maneuvers - holding up funding, threatening government shutdowns, politicized investigations, meritless court cases etc. - are harmful and are part of what the Democrats are fighting.
If Democrats used the "same maneuvers" for real, then it's just over.
