What a mess the MCU turned into. All that TV content and all it did was introduce too many characters and plotlines that led to dead ends.
Clipped by the TVA or something.

To some extent, there will always be this risk. What it takes is commitments from candidates that they are willing to be clear on, and holding them to it. Engagement post-election is definitely part of the equation.
I never said democracy was perfect.

The party is driven by participation in primaries. If we as progressives organize, the Party is ripe for takeover.
But we need to show up to the polls *every primary election* to get good candidates through to general elections.
No more Fettermans. No more Eric Adams. No more Sinemas.

Seattle City Councilmember Alexis Mercedes Rinck urged elected leaders to stand up to Trump and defend people most at risk. More centrist leaders have been less apt to stick their neck out.

The entirety of Trump's political life has been a training exercise of the Republican electorate.

Which makes it sound like there will never be a Democratic woman president. Women acting 'tough' is off-putting to a lot of misogynistic Dem voters.

I don't understand how people miss this part. With regards to our professional bureaucratic class, yielding the entire field to the enemy is a worse strategy than tactical retreats, bearing witness, and keeping the press apprised from the inside.

All I see is people who don't understand how this entire line of questioning is a red herring. A distraction that prevents constructive work.
It seemed to work fine for the GOP, but for us, it's a waste of time and a no-cost salve to paper over how much Biden fked us by running again.

And based on Trump's behavior in the weeks leading up to Election Day, his demeanor and message were desperate because he thought he was going to lose. Not a candidate who was confident because they were going to be able to cheat to win.
