The one on the right is highly qualified. The one on the left will need a presidential waiver to serve as chair of the joint chiefs. That waiver is for essentially an emergency situation. The rapist racist felon's crime spree continues unabated.
There's a lot of hicus picks he will have to do. Like promote him to 4 star ... and waive requirement the cjcs have been commander of a war fighting command
Not only is it goofy, but the focus it implies is detrimental to the strength of our military (ie the adage of tactics vs logistics), which makes it doubly funny they don’t realize it’s goofy.
If Caine said, as Trump claims, he would kill for Trump, he doesn’t belong in any military position. Soldiers aren’t willing killers but may have to kill. Soldiers don’t kill for someone. They serve the country. They don’t put MAGA hats on because politics in the military gets people killed.
. @SenatorWicker has the power to bring Hegseth before Armed Services to explain purging highly qualified Chiefs and top JAGs. Urge him to do that before any hearing on Caine.
If Dan Caine is half what Donald Trump claims him to be, he’s not going to last long as the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Good luck to him though.
Warfighter is a weird term to use here, as it's generally used to speak about military personnel across all of the armed forces.
Since Gen Caine is in the USAF, it would normally make sense to call him an Airman. I've never known anyone in the military who would prefer the generic "warfighter" term
Firing the Chair of Joint Chiefs. Attacking Zelensky.
These aren’t just political stunts—they’re deliberate acts of destabilization. A weakened U.S. isn’t just a crisis at home, it’s a global threat.
How much more can unravel before it’s too late?
An unstable America is a dangerous America. 🌗✨
‘Entrepreneur’. So not a serving officer, and red flags all over the show for conflicts of interest.
Putin and Xi must be wondering when their vivid dream
will end.
Google AI says a retired general, which Caine is, can't be appointed as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
"No, a retired general cannot be appointed as the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The chairman must be an active-duty officer in the armed forces."
If anyone doesn’t think military violence is coming against anyone who looks different and especially attempts to go against the facist. Nazi trump cult regime then your not paying attention
They're probably trying to distinguish "Veterans" from "War Fighters" so, when they gut the VA to fuck-all, they can claim it's because they wanna sus out the "babies that didn't really go to war" and just blanket deny everyone in reality. Like what they did with "DEI" and every minority.
It makes sense in this light. His moves are more predictable in this light. Our level of alarm needs to be with this understanding. He is trying to upend the epoch. It really is this big.
He's acting exactly as I would expect a junior field grade to act when given the keys to the entire fucking fleet of high performance vehicles. We have a fucking major/TV host running the fucking DoD.
It's been popular in DoD and adjacent circles for a while. It's jingo-y and kind of transparently silly, but it sounds more badass than "veteran" or "soldier."
I noticed that too. I think Trump is planting that seed because he knows...he KNOWS he is making us less safe. The spinless GOP WILL HAVE BLOOD ON THEIR HANDS. THIS IS INSANITY IN PLAIN SIGHT AND THEY DON'T CARE!
It's not weird if you been in. What's weird is saying the values system should take second place to shooting straight. They all go hand in hand and those values are what keeps us from committing atrocities on a fucking daily basis.
Remember when #Trump in 2016 said similar things about Marine General & his Secretary of Defense James "Mad Dog" Mattis. Eventually "Mad Dog" denounced Trump. How long will it take Gen "Razin" Caine" to come to his senses and agree with "Mad Dog". #TrumpIsAThreatToDemocracy
Listen, hear me out. We get Tim Walz a stupid hat and have him smoke a comically outsized cigar. We slip him onto Fox News under a ridiculous nickname, "Big Deadly Daddy" or something....
Keep in mind that Trump would not nominate someone who isn’t loyal to him. Not the Constitution, him. Our military is on its way to being run exclusively by hard core maga types that 100% support whatever fascist tendencies he may have.
"On Mr. Hegseth’s first day at the Pentagon, however, he stood next to General Brown, who became chairman in October 2023, and said he looked forward to working with him.
But it soon became clear that General Brown had not been welcomed into Mr. Trump’s inner circle.
(A)
At the time, the president noted the historic significance of his decision to appoint the “first-ever African American military service chief,” writing on social media that the general was “a Patriot and Great Leader.”
(C)
Replaced a 4 Star General
with a retired 3 Star Lt. General John D. Canie (if I were him- I would hesitate - but then we might get somebody on Fox News to head as Joint Chiefs Chairman)
(D)
He fired a supremely qualified black man and replaced him with a lower ranked white man that is so unqualified that he had to get special dispensation to hire him.
Every Chairman of the Joint Chiefs has been a four star general on active duty at the time of their appointment. How is a retired three star anywhere near qualified to lead other generals who will outrank him?
General Charles Q Brown Jr - 41 yrs of service/active; black
Commands -
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff
Chief of Staff of the Air Force
Pacific Air Forces
United States Air Forces Central Command
31st Fighter Wing
8th Fighter Wing
USAF Weapons School
78th Fighter Squadron
Wonder how long he'll last after he pushes back (that's assuming he even will) when Trump gives an unlawful order.
I'm so glad I'm not still in uniform. I feel so sorry for those who are. Trump is going to mow down the flag officers, leaving mid- & junior-lvl personnel in serious no-win situations.
I think General Brown was just promoted to his position in 2024. He is being fired because trump doesn't believe the General will be loyal to trump's regime. General Brown is also a Black man.
According to something I read earlier, he is being fired because he refused to take an oath to Trump. Gen. Brown took an oath to the Constitution, not a damn "pretend President". THAT is what pissed Trump off.
We need a lot more people like General Brown in our military, not fewer. I head that our illustrious new SecDef, Pete Hegseth, plans to fire more high-level brass very soon. This is what dictators do to ensure the military is on their side and can be trusted to do the dictator's illegal bidding.
So in other words he just fired General Brown.
Trump nominated him to be Chief of Staff of the Air force in 2020.
I think trump sees being a Chief of Staff acceptable because to him it's like a butler.
My question is this. Has “Raisins in potato salad” Caine actually accepted the position yet? And if he has does he understand that he will be considered a pariah by the people under his command.
I assume these orders came directly from Putin. The ideals that founded our nation are taking an absolute beating thanks to the ignorance of 77+ million voters.
the Chief serves 4 year terms, Brown was appointed in 2023, so is Trump firing him 2 years early?
you know firing the black guy in favor of a random 3 star white guy (who I'm sure is very nice but the last 4 Chairmen were service chiefs before they were Chairmen)
The DEI crusade is an excuse to remove people of color from the ranks and especially those in authority. How is Gen. Charles Q. Brown Jr. not qualified?

The other one is white and has “ magatocracy” privilege on his side.

I heard it most around the Pentagon in the context of “supporting the warfighter.”
Cali, NY, Ore,Wash etc all join Canada. We take over reserve currency status.
BEFORE midterms.
Because voting/elections under trump now will be tainted and truly rigged. There won’t be another Dem president.
Keeps coming doesn't it.......never ending chaos
All he said when asked if he supports him was " I'm standing next to him"

I suppose it's because trump doesn't understand the difference between a "combat vet" and an "animal vet"
He’s a fuckwit.

No knowledge of this general though
Did someone edit his tweet for him
He couldn't get a real general.
I bet he is a MAGA cock sucker.
But it soon became clear that General Brown had not been welcomed into Mr. Trump’s inner circle.
(A)
It was a significant reversal for Mr. Trump from 2020, when General Brown was nominated to be the Air Force’s chief of staff.
(B)

And Tiger Woods is OK with this!
with a retired 3 Star Lt. General John D. Canie (if I were him- I would hesitate - but then we might get somebody on Fox News to head as Joint Chiefs Chairman)

If so, he must be impeached at once!

Yet lots of vets and their benefits are being cut by this administration's chain saw wrecking crew.
