Absolutely killing us in wide areas

Obviously appreciate players need rest, but I feel like kuli, Spence and son should be guaranteed starters and would have been better to rest them Saturday rather than tonight if it was a choice between one or the other. Trust Ange to manage the squad now he's got it back but Porro v doku worries me

I have a potentially dumb question...
From the VERY basic reading I've done, the US is bearing the brunt of bad trade deals in a lot of examples.
Are they expected to just get over it bc they are a capitalist powerhouse, or are the trade deals actually fairer than they seem on the surface?

I have absolutely no data or evidence for this, but my general feeling is that more serious injuries are likely to happen in a full throttle, high impact competitive match rather than training? Goes without saying obviously injuries can happen anywhere. Remember this? news.bbc.co.uk/sport3/world...

Djed Spence again making a mockery of being frozen out of the team before our injury crisis. Woeful team performance but at least he looked like he was trying, demanding more of others and being positive in possession.
Bringing on Bissouma for Moore when losing was a shocking call.

If I hadn't seen the team sheet I wouldn't have known Sonny was playing tonight. Ineffective on every single level.

His attitude is unreal, one of the few in that team that come across as true leaders/winners

I think it's more a case of them being absolutely shattered rather than not wanting to play for him. Tel must wish he'd stuck with his original decision though 😂

the weird thing is that we didnt actually defend too badly. we were so poor in possession that it became a game of win the ball, give it back then try to win it back again. there were no patterns of play, highlighted by the amount of times we lost the ball trying to dribble our way out of trouble.

Such a wholesome outcome. Watching the youngsters have their moment tonight is a true joy of football ♥️

Over the moon for the kids, especially Ajayi who hasn't played a minute before tonight but has traveled with us for most of the EL campaign. You can't ask for a better feel good factor around a club than having academy players single handedly win a match for you. This is what football is all about ♥️

An absolutely shameful transfer window.
It's a microcosm of everything that's been wrong with the club under Levy's stewardship.
You can bring in any coach in the world right now and it won't make an ounce of difference bar a brief new manager bounce.

Aside from Solanke, who was a year late replacement for Kane, we didn't bring in one player last summer who was supposed to make an immediate impact on our starting XI.
I feel like we've laid a half decent foundation for the future but this summer needs to be massive. Totally agree on Rad and BJ.

With our inverted full backs it's literally one wide ball over the top when we're putting teams under pressure and they're man v man running at our goal.
Aside from Solanke who's our year late replacement for Kane, none of our signings this summer were meant to upgrade our first XI from last year.

When we're back to full strength and can start playing Gray in midfield he'll be a world beater. Got a bit of Dembele about him without the muscle.

Dragusin is so, so poor in possession.

No denying we've been poor but we're so much more capable of getting away with this style of football when Van de Ven and Romero are playing. Not pinning it all on that but it's a brutal miss.

So many times we dallied on the ball or tried to dribble out of trouble instead of snapping the ball around quickly. Men against boys in the first half, we lost almost every duel.
