Playing Baldurs Gate to unwind before the weekend, Then getting plastered ... I mean DOING SOME PLASTERING for all weekend, it helps me to have physical work where I see results at the end of the weekend

The Atlantic seems reasonably solid? Sharon has it as her main (English language) subscription these days

Just find the right rhythm, and the screwing goes well. Terrible double entendres to continue tomorrow as I work the fiddly bits, fill cracks, and get plastered

My personal calendar doesn't have them, but since I'm outside of US I'm not sure if this is new or was always the case. Can't comment on internal calendar. However, it seems verified up by external reporting. timesofindia.indiatimes.com/world/us/goo...

Funny: I looked up the artist profile on Grauzone, and she was in fact featured / promoted BY Nick Cave

I am tempted to add "Romance Scammer" to my bio. But I am not enough of a shitposter to pull it off

Project #1 continues into work nights. Step 3: -an annoying bit of plumbing, the garden faucet will need be rerun. -Cutting the insulation sheets to size. -One wall installed, with cutout for electric outlet!

Project #1 of 2025 (insulating a mudroom), Step 2: installed ventilation lats, cut ventilation holes. Thought I'd have the panels up by now, but DIY projects always take 3x what's expected (little details pop up. And I made mistakes that meant rework)

3. Leadership notices a junior/mid-level female engineer whose social and communication skills outclass those of the male senior engineers 4. This isn’t because women are "naturally better" at these things. It's because women can't get away with not developing these skills the way men can 🧵

Something light and silly, like Kobolds Ate My Baby or Call of *CAT*thulhu ? Curious to see how your crew would bring hilarity & creativity to them.

I feel this. For me, I shrank my world which came with losses and gains. I enjoyed many of the things this gave me, and resisted expanding again later. Narrowly avoided some bad forms of "shut-in-ness" (And TBH this is still with me in several ways, better described in person)

Weird that last picture got flattened, let me try again

Example, does it land? Maxine (french journalist) has no weapon, keeps trying to stab things with her fountain pen. She just finished off a dimensional shambler with it! (Help from friends, burned a lot of luck) That pen has now tasted Mythos blood. What powers will emerge when she next uses it?

(it was so pulpy and fun) Alfred somehow lasso's the shambler as it fades away. Max kills it with fountain pen (REALLY), she and Torso are hauled back to reality by the Lasso. Cultist trapped in alien dimension. Opera Star kinda saved. So much luck burned. So pulpy. Great session. On to Venice!

They corner Cult Leader in the prop room, with his bodyguard and a *gasp* dimensional shambler carrying the Torso. Very Pulpy fight: Alfred's Death Ray! Furio's Bayonet! Max grabbed by the shambler and desperately stabs with her fountain pen as it drags her into another dimension.

Done! I was only in action part time due to personal tech issue. But still managed to do my part, as one of 500+ volunteers. That is a well run volunteer group, organizers do a good job, I recommend it if you can spare a few hours in the next week. It helps votes get cured & counted

I went to boost this to my FB friends and Meta blocks the substack link based on community standards, wow. For anyone promoting this on FB, use the link to the actual organizations and registration (www.vopropros.com) which it does accept

I had that same issue. Meta did accept the website for the actual VoPro organization (www.vopropros.com) and the registration link
