You CAN work on social media without working FOR social media. It is entirely possible to work to the NUJ Code of Conduct even in digital spaces where ethical standards are lower...

But it's a straw man argument. Police forces around the UK are struggling to retain officers, as morale remains on the floor. Nevertheless, against this backdrop the #UK is still widely regarded by many as a world leader in counter-terrorism policing.
