I’ve done the same with baseball cards that are clearly fake yet listed as authentic. Never gets taken down

Watched it at home, as an Os fan my biggest memory is screaming at Webster to pick up the ball

Another is that there is more than enough money to solve poverty, what is lacking is the will to solve it

U street is just the beginning, I love Philly but DC is a fantastic city when you get to know it

I grew up outside Philly, it’s a great city. However when someone criticizes DC as transient and slick, they haven’t gone to a lot of the neighborhoods. It doesn’t take long to meet people who have lived there forever, have a real community, and amazing places

The comment is undoubtedly from someone who views DC as Georgetown and downtown.

Planning a visit there next month, excited for it

I was curious about the same thing and felt exactly the same about the movie. Was just an odd movie overall, couldn’t seem to decide what it wanted to be about

As a man with a wife who watches everyone OK doc, hubris is how they fucked it up

But anyway, I have an extra of these if you want it

The weirdest one is does having sex with his wife cure her paralysis? Like they have sex and then she can walk and that’s just not a plot point?

Why does his niece not talk for 3 hours of the movie then talk and no one says anything about it?
comment in response to

Still can’t figure out what that movie wanted to be about also so many weird confusing plot points. Why does Guy Pearce say that he finds their conversations to be always stimulating when they’ve only talked once?

One of the best parts about having the MLB radio feeds via the app was listening to Uecker. Didn’t matter that I’m not a Brewers fan, he made the game fun

I’m still nervous just based on his short time with the team. May be somewhat unfair to him but I’ll take consistent and boring over up and down

Of the pitchers still left I like Morton the best. Would have preferred any of the front line starters but of what’s left I like Morton best

If I was managing a team there, I would consider playing the SS deep and either go with 5 infielders or split CF between two outfielders

Forbes Field is a good one. I just always think Baker Bowl when I think of short RF porches. 281 feet to the RF corner is tiny

Well looks like I’ll have to add vol 2 to my reading list for the year. Really like the idea of the closing chapters

Met him a long time ago, when he first opened. Talked to him for a while about how he sourced his ingredients. Really no surprise how good the pizza is having learned all that

Seriously the best pizza place, from the day he opened around the corner till now, never a bad pie

Personally not a fan of slabbed photos. I do understand the reasoning but it’s not for me. I don’t see the photo market growing to a point it will be used a lot, and the increased asking cost of most graded photos keeps me from owning one

I wish they had a no Frodo extended cut version of the movies.
comment in response to

Honestly from the the end of Fellowship to the last hour or hour and half of Return, I think 25 minutes or so of Frodo content is required to tell this story
comment in response to

Also, my LOTR hot take, if you take the whole Frodo storyline out of the Two Towers you have a much superior, and easier to watch, movie and trilogy @sleepymurph.bsky.social

I’ve moved to collecting the he “beautiful” cards that aren’t crazy price wise. I love some of the big HoF cards in the set but I can’t justify spending $2000 on a card. That’s like a card over a vacation

Moved a bunch of them over the summer, focusing mostly on the cards I want and love. Building 520 was getting to the point where I was just buying cards to buy them.
