I had no idea Graham is unwell. I haven't heard anything from him in a while and now that makes sense. He lives alone so I hope a family member has stepped in to assure he is safe and cared for. "A mind is a terrible thing to lose." - so true.

Please do not attach the Washington Post link to its articles. Many of us chose not to continue reading the post because of the pro Trump behavior. Thank you.

Ole Honest JD, famous for the "They're eating the pets of the people who live there" stunt during the 2024 campaign. Meet the legacy of a liar life JD. Are you wealthy enough and charismatic enough to revel in it like your boss? I think not.

When I was little I used to daydream. I would think "What if..." over and over, as children do. There was even a cartoon character with a magic crayon who would draw whatever he wanted to happen or have. Now we are living in a world under the rule of a bunch of Mike Johnsons with magic crayons.

I favor loathe. It sounds uglier and conveys utter disgust and intolerance.

Wow, so today vacationing in South Africa (where human rights abuses caused the US to pull support) - is cause for punitive exposure to harm for children of a former president. Interesting how his bmf is from South Africa and has a top security clearance and is the de facto CEO of the USA.

Mr. Musk already gets a lot from the US government - almost like a fabled welfare queen Reagan used to complain about. How 'bout he puts on his big boy pants and figures out how to organize his business to withstand these ebbs and flows of popularity? Like everyone else is expected to do.

Let's see ... is FEMA still viable or did it get tossed in the dumpster? I think they were on the list for elimination - at least.

You have my vote 😊

Good thing 10 Democrats joined the Repubs in helping fund this government for the next 6 months - so Trump doesn't hurt anyone and to preserve our guardrails. Well done.

Also urban Democrats. Time for Chuck to begin his retirement and enjoy his lovely family. We need Obama to visit and do the Biden effect chat

OK DINO Fetterman. You will never vote to shut down the government and hurt innocent Americans. Better to affirm and help fund the fascist coup - so the government can stay open and continue to allow the GOP to hurt innocent Americans while making personal profits.

Two drug addicts have been handed the keys to the kingdom by MAGA, spineless Republicans and an assortment of wealthy man boys with too little to do - what could go wrong? Lots of these folks enjoy their drugs - legal or otherwise. I'm not surprised

Every day they give Donnie some blank paper and crayons. I used to do that for my nieces when they were four. How much longer is this sham presidency going to last?

I am not worried. I am not a both sides are equivalent thinker in any way. For me it is apples and oranges. Not to say that too much money in politics is not an issue - regardless of who is bringing it ( I won't go that far). The fact is though that the billionaire boys club bought the government

I do not believe a Democrat would sell the country to a rich boy toy and then go golfing - leaving the place in the hands of 6 college kids with laptops, one greedy and very bored legacy street boss snd a bunch of actual hillbilly conspiracy theorists with guns and knives. No.

Perfect theme song for this administration. It would be fun to respond to every MAGAt and MUSKRat with this song

I like your show better Brando - for a host of reasons. I think Ben & bros. could do a great podcast show that would be terrific for everyone but they do not do that now. Too much time monetizing the content and playing clips. It has no personality, clear theme or soul.

Still curious - who elects the DNC chairs? I have been asking since 2012 but nobody ever answers. Maybe someone here will know.

I may be kidding myself ( biggly) but I think Trump is almost fully burnt and ready for pasture. Meanwhile his two groups of minions (crypts vs bloods) can't get along, the congress is allergic to work and everyone is playing quien es mas importante. Who has time to get into it with Panamanians?

Hi David, Glad to see you on Bluesky. Max Owen. I am moving from Puerto Armuelles to Panama City within the next couple of weeks. I will have questions!

Absolutely agree. I was a most grateful scholarship student and years later happy to participate in the alumni scholarship programs to help other students reach their dreams. It is good for society.

I disagree with the part about a school you can afford. I think schools with mixed wealth students offer more than schools attended by a single class of people. I think we need more and better scholarship programs to keep centers of learning open to all interested and capable students.

Did anyone check with the eagle to see whether he still wants that job?
comment in response to post
Absolutely not. That would break the GOP trend of subverting laws and norms.

Miller, Bannon and whoever else he relies on for advice will probably favor Musk. Also he owes Musk and has legal bills yet to face. Musk is much more valuable to Trump than his MAGA base. After the inauguration he can essentially live on the golf course unencumbered by reality.

Not four more years of this, please.

Or go one further and get rid of the bloated, redundant department of Homeland Security. That a a GW Bush invention early in his "War on Terror". The department of job duplication and government overreach is not needed.

The language captured in this article indicates a flaccid response from government. We used to insist laws and regulations were followed. Now we are concerned, advise, consider, cajole, remind and suffer anxiety over. Sounds like an outpatient mental health care encounter, not a government response.

NYT paywall here. After all the NYT has recently done to promote the corrupt fake conservatives -MAGA, Federalist Society, most of the SC, the current Musk Mission, etc. why would anyone ever think that Americans in favor of democracy would pay them a bloody nickel to read anything published there?

It appears from the article cited that the people were told she is retiring. They held an election to relace her. Whether the Texas state government officials or the population of Fort Worth knew the woman is in a nursing home was not covered in the article. I do not know what they knew or when.

Looks like Texas already dealt with this in November. fortworthreport.org/2024/10/19/w...

There's a bizarre and ongoing mainstream effort to launder RFK Jr into someone who just wants to get Americans eating nutritious food and exercising again but that is not evidenced anywhere in his public statements or career in public life. He is a liar and conspiracist.
