A closer look at federal records shows Musk’s claims are vastly overstated, and the $55 billion figure lacks any real documentation. Share to help stop the spread of misinformation.

I'm not a good enough skater for pond skating, I need a smoother surface. 🙂

My '85 Dodge Omni could've handled that kind of "off roading".

I remember an interview with Angus Young back in the early 90s...I think? The interviewer accused AC/DC of having made 12 albums that all sounded the same, and Angus Young responded that they'd made 13 albums that all sounded the same.

As a cishet white male who's about your age (I think), and thought he knew a little bit about what you're covering...boy did I only know a little. So thank you.

If only we could round them up, put them all in a room, and force them to watch an endless loop of School House Rock.

I learned Hochdeutsch in my MidWest high school. My grandparents were Volga Deustch. Our common language was English. My grandfather told me that when he was in Germany (fighting Nazis), he couldn't easily talk to locals becuse their version of German was so different from his.

Americans tend to develop strong opinions on foreign policy when it impacts them directly. Like conscription, or losing their jobs when tariffs crater the domestic auto industry.

Rich white male doesn't see the need for social justice. One might wish he were to awaken one morning and find he was now a poor black woman.

ISTR reading somewhere, maybe in one of the Ernie Pyle books, that for every infantryman in combat in WWII, there were 16 other servicemen in various roles supporting him. I'm sure that's a relic though and, no bureaucracy or logistics are required in the modern military.

There's probably bands that I like better than The Clash, but man, if you want a starting point for discussing music, then "London Calling" can lead you down paths of ska, reggae, jazz, punk, rock, etc.

Unpossible, the 90s were just a few years ago.

Chuck Schumer is a GOP plant. And by plant, I mean a houseplant. Possibly a fern.
