Spot on. This is the clearest explanation I’ve seen. It ‘s relatable, and humanizes the issue in a way everyone can understand.

Andor S2 improved dramatically after the first three episodes. And I'll give it this -- I don't think there was a single pointless bar scene just so they could throw in some muppets (usu in a band). (hello, Rogue One!).

May compassion arise, may all being be at ease of heart.

The best way forward for Star Wars is to reboot the prequels

Watched the first two eps of Andor S2. I think, essentially, one meaningful thing happens in each episode. I liked S1 -- the Cassian parts, I liked. The others? Am I supposed to care about Mon Mothma? Clearly I am. Why don't I? Is that on me or on the writers? Both?

If it's better than the Kelvin reboot (and based on SNW it certainly could be), sure! 🖖

WATCH: “I WAS AN INTERPRETER IN AFGHANISTAN FOR 3 YEARS.” ICE grabs a man whose name they don’t even know at his immigration hearing, shackles him, expedites his removal. Q: Why would anyone ever help our military again? — Trump is endangering and weakening our military.

So agree. The Star Wars universe is incredibly thin. For me, the writers took the most mysterious element, the Jedi, and kneecapped it bc of plot twist (they created the Stormtroopers!). (tbf, there's a morality play about war in there that could be a great story - Star Trek has done it often).

Guauuuuuuuuu! Strange New Worlds! youtu.be/KBix8DzPcaE?...

@hollyanderson.bsky.social the person most angry about this is Ron DeSantis

Don King is still alive and the PPV numbers could finance the national debt

Lol just heard the NPR story about the DOGE guy who lost his job when he said he was surprised at how hard it was to find inefficiencies in the federal govt because he came from Silicon Valley where companies always have lots of people sitting around doing nothing

Love the cannon, great to see it continue on the Arsenal kit 🔴⚪

Worst Star Trek episode? DS9 s6e23: Profit and Lace The story behind the scenes is great. Mayhem on the set: people who don't want to do the ep at all, ones who want a different take. (Strife so bad no one can get it together for the following ep which is *9* minutes short when it's 'finished'...

I still don't need to see any Yglesias screenshots
