Makes me think of convention games of B17: Queen of the Skies - each player is playing their own aircraft and survives or not completely on their own but the parallel play creates a meta-narrative for the overall mission, like a campaign but where games are simultaneous rather than sequential.

The one I always forget is: Read the tricky parts aloud so that you're not trying to pronounce foreign place/character names for the first time at the table.

Try to approach it like a game - put on Clash of the Titans and eat an olive every time you hear the word 'Zeus'. They'll be gone in no time. You can do this! I believe in you! :-)

It's so easy - just check to make sure the cards are in order and hand the students the box! One long or two short games with time left over for discussion. It's so good!

Yeah, rabbits in The Warren are intelligent and can talk with other animals but, by default, are otherwise realistic. That said, the game leaves room for the spiritual/supernatural and has mechanics for pushing the boundaries of what rabbits can normally do.

Megagames might also be a nice middle ground between wargame/board game, TTRPG/larp, and political simulation. They're playful, open-ended, face-to-face games that can cover many different facets of nationhood and are a good fit for universities where players and venues are in ample supply.

It depends on who’s asking. An individual teacher or librarian may not have a budget and may already be supplementing their work out of pocket. A library or uni department should have a budget for speakers. A university or convention can’t pay your worth (priceless) but should pay for your time.

I always show a slide with advice on how to succeed in my class. On the last class of the semester, I show it to them again and ask them to help revise it for the next semester's students.
