No this is the fault of everyone who voted for him or enabled him along with those too lazy or uncaring to even vote or work to stop it. Had they stood up none of this would have happened.

Every team has haters. Including mine. I just don’t pay any attention to them. It’s not unusual in anyway.

What the F are you talking about? I hate the Celtics passionately yet still recognize they are the team to beat. Who is “they?”
comment in response to post
Ya, and then he'll also guard LeBron and Luka, I suppose. No one can guard Jokic. But Denver still loses games. Wonder how that happens? Oh, maybe you stop the other guys and dominate on offense with two monsters, Reaves (soon to be a monster) and all the open shooters. ...

Hi.

And Anthony Davis. A very substantive player and a sure-fire Hall of Famer. Don’t take him into account? LA got the best in the deal but the Mavs are hardly left with an empty cupboard. Show AD some respect.
comment in response to post
They got Anthony Davis, they will be relevant.
comment in response to post
If you think AD is “nothing,” then you just … don’t …. think ….

Wow that’s a good reason to not make a trade: people in Cleveland “dont give a hoot.” Thx for clearing that up.

Robert Williams III would be nice, Valenciunis would help, Kessler would be ideal but likely not doable, Capela, Ayton, Vuch… lots of guys being dangled mainly for draft picks. But trade for specific need, don’t panic. Team is pretty good. Just address needs only.

You’re looking three years in the rearview mirror, pal. This current roster is very strong when healthy. They need to get better on the offensive boards and have another big man to help take some load off of Anthony Davis. Not another panic trade or a lateral move.

Thx for the advice. Here’s some for you: take some math classes. The 500 team is currently seven games over .500. They have been above 500 all year.

So your solution is to break the two of them up while searching for a championship style roster that does not include AD. News bulletin: any Laker roster that includes AD is better than any Laker roster that doesn’t. Let’s be real. Zero chance he’ll be traded.
comment in response to post
Nonsense. He won a title with AD. They play great together. AD is a hall of famer. Don’t be silly.
comment in response to post
Really? It’s been over 40 years since Bill Russell retired. That’s the one and only decade where they kicked the Lakers ass. Since 1980, the Lakers have 11 titles and the Celtics have four. Way I see it, Celtics dominated a single decade, and the Lakers have been the better franchise ever since.
comment in response to post
I would never say that. Trading Anthony Davis for players who aren’t as good as him, and never will be, isnt exactly the path to improvement that I would envision.
comment in response to post
I’m quite settled. Just pointing things out as I see them.
comment in response to post
Oh that’s right, we live in an era where we ignore facts that don’t suit our point of view.
comment in response to post
Ya, Lakers aren’t like you guys. They win championships more than once or twice in 40 years.
comment in response to post
Oh, but they did. Got their asses kicked actually.

Bill Simmons is a douche.

What a dopey conspiracy theory. The Dodgers paid guys like Ohtani, Snell, etc, bundles of money, but some others, they paid LESS than they were offered by other teams. Yates was on market 2 months and no one offered him any more. They WANT to be Dodgers. Going all out to win is bad?

Watch LeBron drive the lane sometime. It goes with the territory. Part of a star’s job.
comment in response to post
The dude ain’t on no embers. He remains an all consuming inferno of epic proportions.
comment in response to post
I know they aren’t trading Reaves. He has been routinely asked for in trade talks and Lakers said no each time. He is untouchable.
comment in response to post
Reaves isn’t a “decent guard,“ he’s a rising star who is now 3rd best player on the team, takes pressure off LBJ. They don’t need a star center. They need depth at center & there’s lots of ways to do that. They’ve rejected many deals that would have included him. They’re not trading him. Period.
comment in response to post
AD NOT always injured. He played 76 games last year out of 82, and he’s only missed two games this year so far. Hayes is back. They should get another big, but not at cost of Reaves, an exciting young star. It was good to see Koloko play well. Ever hear term don’t throw the baby out w/the bathwater?
comment in response to post
U are insane. Reaves ain’t being traded for anyone.
comment in response to post
Why would they be interested? Another aging ball dominant guard who would cost half their team and all their draft capital? No thanks.
comment in response to post
They need bigs!! Thats it.

Geez, what some guys will do to get first rate dental care …

Mark, why are we calling it the “next administration” when, in fact, we are talking about a convicted criminal running a gang of oligarchs and religious fanatics contrary to basic American values?? Policy doesn’t matter. What matters is we face a Nat’l security emergency & a threat to democracy.

Easy for you and me to say, we aren’t gay or transgender or pledged to Donald Trump like pathetic little fools.

I’m a Democratic voter. I’ve never voted for a Republican in my life. I have no problem with this leadership. I have a far bigger problem with the American voter, their lack of civic responsibility & patriotism, the selfishness of our culture, and the wholesale rejection of moderation.
comment in response to post
I agree, which is why insulting them incessantly and forever is a better strategy. They fucking deserve it.
comment in response to post
Ya, that’s the real problem: the language used by liberals. In itself, that’s ironic coming from someone like David Brooks, an elitist beltway jerk. FYI clue: the big problem in this country is the looming Trump administration, the biggest threat to democracy we have faced since World War II.
comment in response to post
An important argument? Are you people insane? No one’s listening to arguments. They’re listening to visceral nonsense. What he did was legal and logical, particularly compared to what Trump did last time and what he’s going to do this time. What’s the matter with you people?
comment in response to post
Thanks Joe for kindly explaining to all of us dummies what is perfectly OK to say and what isn’t. I appreciate that you turned on Trump, but you are a real condescending dope.
comment in response to post
Yeah, sure. Because Trump would never abuse the pardon power if Biden hadn’t pardoned his son, right? Makes no sense. If I could protect my son from jail based on a political prosecution while helping him get clean and back on his feet, I would do it in a heartbeat.

It will be one of those two teams out of the East. Question is will the best team in the West meet them in Finals or not after going thru the West gauntlet. But don’t sell Cavs short: two major bigs, two major guards, great bench and coach, healthy right now.
comment in response to post
Guess you haven’t heard of the Cleveland Cavaliers this year.
comment in response to post
Yes there was. However the media pontificators have explained that she and the Democrats “talked down” to voters and didn’t understand working people. So naturally voters had to overlook this and many other warnings and vote for a criminal.
