As Americans, we should be appalled. We can’t expect other countries to respect international law if we are so ready to throw it out the window. Let’s call this what it is, a racist genocide of the Palestinian people who have just as much of a right to be there (or more) as the Israelis.

I’m sorry, but this story is not anywhere near as important as the impact that this will have on Americans who need medical care. Quit with the fluff pieces and report on the stuff that matters.

@tiamitchell.com - The AJC needs to report better on items like this.

This is the implication of underfunding the FAA and sowing chaos in government operations. My condolences to the families and those impacted.

I’ve heard more from @mcuban.bsky.social on these issues than y’all and that’s a problem.

Only commenting on these issues in your podcasts addresses only people who already share your beliefs and leaves a void that is filled by other voices. I get that Dems are in disarray, but honestly I expected to see more action from y’all on these issues.

If y’all are doing something you HAVE to get better about getting your message out. I am extremely politically engaged and if I can’t see that y’all are doing anything, regular voters sure as hell aren’t.

As the Benjamin Franklin said. We have only have “a republic, if [we] can keep it.”

Are we an opposition party? Or are we just going to sit back and watch our rights be taken away, checks and balances thrown out the window, and power centralized in the executive branch?

Grandstanding in the halls of Congress do jack shit to change anything. NO ONE pays attention to CSPAN. Y’all have to be loud, you have be upset, you have to actually fight for these causes y’all claim to believe in.

Colombia supplies ~10–15% of US coffee. A 25% tariff could raise Colombian coffee prices by up to 25% and push overall US coffee prices up 5–10%. Substitution helps, but consumers would still see higher costs.

It is much easier to cause division than it is to unify, which is why you see politicians (on both sides) try to make it an us versus them discussion instead of a civil rights issue - which is a more accurate representation of most DEI programs today.

True DEI programs do not claim that people are inherently racist or biased - that is a political talking point used to rile up voters. They focus on how to right prior wrongs by a company and level the playing field so that all employees have an equal opportunity to be their best selves.

From my experience, most DEI-related backlash today is related to poor communication or implementation. Humans, by instinct, are adverse to change - so if the value is not explained and the why behind your policies are flawed they won’t be effective. It can’t just be a talking point for companies.

Strikes occur when employees and management disagree on pay and conditions. Workers seek fair compensation, while management must balance wages with the company’s long-term health. Both perspectives are valid, reflecting different priorities. For a deeper understanding, see:

DEI is not about taking opportunities away from anyone—it’s about ensuring that everyone, including women, gets an equal shot. It’s not exclusionary; it levels the playing field so that success is based on talent and effort, not barriers or biases.

At the same time, don’t stay silent when you see something that you disagree with - just remember that it is easier to bring people to your perspective through love and reasoning than criticism.

Everyone’s learning journey proceeds at a different pace, so don’t feel discouraged if your family or friends don’t understand your experience today. It can take time for them to open up to different perspectives when they are an outsider looking in.

Are we surprised that Republicans were sexually harassing a female staffer? No. Let the light shine though so that people know that these ‘defenders of women’s rights’ are a bunch of liars.

no shit… glad it took an mba to figure that one out 😂
