“Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry, but by demonstrating that all peoples cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it can introduce the idea that if we try and understand each other, we may even become friends.” ~ Maya Angelou

Wasn't that an hour well spent? And afterwards I for myself always notice that we are not all that different from each other. Great photo by the way.

Don't just walk by and ignore them. Let them know that you see them. Talk to them. Ask if they are hungry or thirsty. Buy them a meal. Better yet, have a meal with them. I met some really remarkable people on the streets, that ended up there having had some bad luck.

Born and raised in Germany by parents that grew up in Nazi Germany. That part of our history was taught to us in school year after year. I took my son when he was a teenager to visit Dachau. It is our obligation as Germans never forget and stand up against fascism as soon as it raises its ugly head.

I like how you define family not only as blood relations. It is so much more. Special bonds that are formed over time with a few very special people. People who are there not only to celebrate the good times and your high moments, but also who won't leave your side during dark times.

Just had some time to look at your work. This one is the icing on the cake. Talking about being at the right place at the right moment. Perfect!

Kieran Nelson's work is beautiful and very important. All indigenous groups and their rich cultures deserve to be preserved and protected.

That's the sick logic of the richest man in the world. The man needs to come out of his ivory tower.

I guess all the people who went through disasters and tried to get their lives back together with the help of FEMA are parasites.

If Luigi hangs out there long enough he will be Crispi. 😂Sorry, couldn't help myself. That just had to come out.

That is a beautiful area. Been up on Mt. Hood during the winter time to frolic in the snow and kayaked the foot of the mountain during summer. Pacific North West is a wonderful place if you love the great outdoors. Have you ever been there?

Wie wahr, wie wahr! And while everybody is watching and either downplaying what's going on, or too afraid to say anything, the beast is getting bigger. We cannot be silent when confronted with fascism.✊

Aren't they great? I love listening to them from time to time, but I always will stay true to the master of all time, BOB MATLEY.🥰
