The military bases breathe literal life into the surrounding towns in their states.
Imagine San Antonio with no fort Sam Houston at its center. I feel like at least 35% of that city is military and their families.
And the effects on smaller towns near bases will be more chilling

I highly recommend yall mention that they defunded field trip transportation for military kids in school. DODEA school kids no longer get field trips bc they won’t cover bus transportation.
So either they are gonna start asking parents to cover the cost or just not do them at all any more

Honestly I think this could be a key strategy to shifting voting patterns in the next election. We need to not just defend ourselves from this insanity but also put forth legislation that helps the nation as a whole while doing it. We aren’t the party of “burn it down”, but “build it up”

There’s no point in even being a rewards member at all even more since they got rid of their cash back rewards. I used to earn nearly $100 a year from shopping there and I’d use it every Christmas. I’m so pissed they changed it to just “hey you get coupons that non members don’t get now!”

They make their communities poorer because they become the primary form of employment for the community, by crushing competition, AND they pay the majority of their staff such little wages that they require food stamps and housing assistance and Medicaid. It insane
