I don't understand how more people don't see this. And even if you don't support trans rights out of empathy and human decency, you should know that every group that is forced to the sidelines is one less group of allies to band with you when your own eventual day on the chopping block comes.

I'm hoping that when Trump attempts to cancel midterm elections, the military suddenly remembers that he is technically their chief, and therefore subject to the UCMJ, and that they summarily execute him for violation of his oath to defend the Constitution as well as his many other acts of treason.

As a Democrat who lives in a VERY red state, I feel compelled to ask; what is meant by "targeting red states"? Do I need to move immediately?

I love how all of the strict interpretationists on the right suddenly forgot what the hell words mean when it came to whether or not Trump was even eligible to run this time around. Hypocrisy never smelled so disgusting.

Any claims to greatness that my nation was once entitled to were burned away in the self-immolating flames of arrogance and stupidity long ago. Grab some popcorn and the fizzy drink of your choice, other countries of Earth... it's gonna be one hell of a show, watching us finally implode.

I have to admit, I really hope that is a fabricated quote. Not because Trump isn't a complete troglodyte of the worst kind... he absolutely is... but because it must have scarred her soul to have to say that, if she did. Nobody wants to have to view their family that way.

Of course I would. I go against the word of any idiot; I don't care about political affiliations. I want to be clear... if a Democrat had committed treason like Trump, I would be calling for them to be executed as well. I don't discriminate; stupid is stupid, evil is evil, and it's got to GO.

We did. The right wing whack jobs didn't have the required literacy to comprehend that passage of the Constitution, and they control the Supreme Court, so screw justice. Also, the clause doesn't require that he be convicted. Only that he do it. OJ wasn't convicted of murder, either. He still did it.

Let's see... did he hold an office? Check. Did he take an oath to defend and support the Constitution as part of service in that office? Check. Did he betray that oath by inciting an insurrection? Check. This was an open and shut case. He never should have been allowed on the ticket this year.

I love that the conservatives treat "liberal" as some kind of dirty word. I enjoy making them really uncomfortable, so when they pull that nonsense with me, I look at them, give them a feral smile, shudder a little and say, "Oooohhhh... Say it again." They usually leave at that point.

I remember what it was like, trying to get health care before the ACA. I have just now, finally, been able to begin getting the treatment that I need to get my life back... I'm wondering what's going to happen when my health insurance goes away in a few months. !@#$ Darth Cheetoh.

This election was a horrifying wake-up call for me. I didn't understand before now that the fact that I have a brain and a soul makes me a freak. I thought it was the hateful, the ignorant, and the oppressive who were the odd ones out.

Nope. I am making a stand here. I don't blame everyone who voted for Trump. I blame everyone who *failed* to vote for Harris, whether they voted for Darth Cheetoh or not. Unless someone was a victim of voter suppression, there was no excuse this time. And now here we are.

THIS! I am so sick to death of people behaving as if this is business as usual. The past decade has marked a sea change, and we had better adapt and overcome if we expect to survive.

Better yet, pull a card from the Republican hand and refuse to hold a vote at all. Deny them any acknowledgment of their demands, just leave them to howl into the abyss like the mad monkeys that they are.

First and foremost, thanks for starting this off and highlighting all of these amazing books by indigenous authors. Also, a sincere AND sarcastic thank you because my reading list just doubled in size thanks to you. I ain't got time for all these good reads, dammit! 🤣

I know you don't know me at all, but I thought I would say... there's nothing more important than learning to embrace yourself, whoever you are. Wholesome stuff like this is a great way to start a day, good luck on your journey of self-discovery.

To quote an oldie but goodie, I believe the proper response to your query is: "Don't worry, be happy". 😀

I love the simple elegance of this phrasing. It really gives it added punch. Thanks for the reminder; time to get to work on my creative projects again.

The whole thing that makes this such a great platform is that it lacks the toxic mindset of the blue bird from hell. Why would anyone want to spoil that?

In case nobody was paying attention, this election is rock-hard, irrefutable, steel-clad proof that this nation is so far right of center that it's going to require freakish levels of progressive ideology just to nudge us back to somewhere in the vicinity of the middle of the road.

Mine was the OG Super Mario Brothers + Duck Hunt combo cart on the NES. It led to a life-long love of video games. Fun fact... one Mountain Dew-fueled weekend, an old friend of mine and I actually beat Duck Hunt. To this day, it remains both a great pride and a great shame.

You know, I am a straight, cishet white man. This country was built, by and large, to privilege people like me. And I am TERRIFIED for my future here. So I can't imagine what women, or POCs, or members of the LGBTQ community are facing right now. Bad as it sometimes was, this is new territory.

I love how the people who are being ostracized for what they did on Nov. 5th are acting surprised and dismayed. They willfully chose to support a racist, misogynistic grapeist in his mad quest to sacrifice our democracy on the altar of his own ego. What did they want, a cookie?
