I feel the same way I did in 2020: Full of anxiety, but a little glad I’ve had it for years because I know what it is and have lots of tools. And empathy for all the newly anxious who have no idea what this feeling is.

This is very relatable. I told a friend tonight that the worst part about being self aware is seeing yourself wrecking the train (metaphorically speaking) and doing it anyway. I was referring to my overly sensitive interpretation of things.

I think we are going to beat you to it by ourselves.

The only things I want videos of are wild animals. If you want to send me videos of birds, I’ll watch them all day (so soothing, recommend taking up bird watching for your mental health).

I dare you to try.

Dating? In this political environment? Please. I’m better off single.

In that case, maybe you need to borrow a puppy.

I feel like they are entirely missing the point…

The number of people I personally know who think Alaska is directly above Washington state is pretty astonishing. A good number of us have no concept of geography in general. And don’t try to explain what provinces and territories are, you will get blank stares.

I feel like people are doing something at the grass roots level. I don’t think we should minimize the outrage and activism that is happening not just across the US, but globally. However, elected officials and others in positions of power are lately absent.

I want to know how all of you avoid it. I don’t use it willingly but I know it is forced upon me at work.

I was born into it an still don’t understand it. We aren’t that great. For so many reasons.

Oh good, now all my anxiety is gone 😬

Because people in the US love to think we are the bestest at all things, even with plenty of evidence saying otherwise.

This is my actual fear. Schumer is so ineffective (as are many others).

I’m uncertain what you are trying to accomplish by being another internet bully. There is a LOT happening at the grassroots level. Being mean and mocking our efforts is acting exactly like Trump supporters.

Millions of people are protesting. The media just isn’t covering it. Don’t believe everything your television is telling you. That is how we got into this mess (here in the US).

I can attest, a lot of people are furious and taking action. But it doesn’t get much coverage in mainstream media.

I would also add, many of them were trying to flee violence in their own countries that was cause by US interference.

Truly. The four horsemen at the door and yet I’m being told I’m overreacting.

When I was a teenager, our cat (who was an excellent hunter) had an arrangement with a mouse that it could live under the fridge as long as it didn’t become too bold. When it did, he would place it (alive) in the bathtub as punishment. We never figured out why.

Some sugar with his sugar. How very American!

Right? If anything I’m becoming more radical, not less.

This is the first time I’ve laughed about anything in relation to Hegseth, well done with that description.

As we fight from within here in the US, we see you Canada. And thank you.

I’m also curious the jelly is intended to just be eaten with a spoon.

I’m taking myself to buy some plants as a little treat. To show me how much I love myself.

Idk, dems stretch the truth plenty. They could have done a lot to avoid where we are currently, like passing legislation to enshrine abortion rights into the constitution years ago. They didn’t because it has always been a fundraising tool for them.

Excellent reference.

People seem to think this will all sort itself out. I’ve been told that I am “overreacting” about how serious it is. If anything, I am not reacting enough.

Ah, I wasn’t referring to the 23% who voted for him, more everyone else.

I need you to cite your source on this before I spread lies.

It’s a bit early to be following RFK jr’s medical advice.

I would argue that a portion of the country (around 23%, someone correct me) voted for this. Not the majority. This rhetoric of “well we voted for it” only serves to further divide us when we should be unifying.

How dare you ignore the conflict in Sudan while posting about [anything else].

Wow, I wish I could avoid annoying people. Unfortunately I annoy myself so I’m SOL.

Truth. I had a pony. She bit me multiple times (just for fun), knocked me over, stepped on me, kicked me… I really loved that violent fluffy beast.
comment in response to post
Yeah, I meant sort of in general. People already haven’t been living through our society even when things were “good”. The US has long left behind the poor, sick, and elderly.

As someone living in a country that is being ripped apart, your content is a bright spot. Thank you for sharing all these fun photos 😊

Some of us are fighters. But I think most people still think there is no way our country is failing. There is a lot of “oh that can’t happen” discourse, even when the thing has happened.

As someone living in the dystopian reality of the US, I strongly agree. We have been on this trajectory for 8 years or so, I’m surprised people on the outside continued to align with us at all.
