Ignore me Pat. My beef isn't with you. I've just lost faith in American "leadership".

Agree, mostly. I gotta disagree with the "uncompromised" part. Realpolitik? Constrained? Yeah, understand. "... fair framework for all parties." What "fairness" must be afforded to the instigator? A once-honorable general now lacks moral courage so, yields. That's not in anyone's interests.

Another party will solve this? Akin to Jill Stein and Chase Oliver siphoning votes? Not a winning idea. P.S. Fuck off!

Appalling. He's simply vile. I'm disgusted and mystified -- How could 77 million people vote for this guy?

How exceedingly chickenshit ! Mr. Peters you're qualified to run for U.S. office.

My synopsis: Matt: Notes RFK addresses lawmakers. RFK!!! Elvis: Questions lawmakers' comprehension. Mack: Cites accepted science, and questions lawmakers' ability to evaluate. Me: Laments effects of ignorance, and misinformation by, and upon lawmakers. Inarticulte of me? Admittedly, yeah.

Who was the government guy promoting Ivermectin, Hydroxychloroquine, and Bleach? You know, the one amplified on right-wing media? Oh.

Therein lies the evil -- I think he does understand.

Collectively, our values have shifted -- 77 million voters saw his first (disgusting) term and wanted more. Electoral Democracies usually fail -- Only 8 are over 100 years old (CAN, FIN, ISL, IRL, NZL, SWE, GBR, USA). We just *knowingly* elected an Authoritarian. A fair chance this'll end badly.

The bunkers in Virginia-class submarines hold over 60 tons of fuel. (20,000 gallons / 75,000 liters). It's used exclusively for an auxiliary generator that produces over 1 megawatt. More tidbits here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virgini...

Each Virginia-class has a huge 52-liter turbocharged diesel that powers a 1.1 Megawatt auxiliary generator. They deployed around 27 December from Submarine Base New London, so it's plausible they need a top-off. I'm surprised they're not getting fuel from an in-fleet oiler, or trusted-ally ship.
