Not to state the obvious, but none of them were sent to a terrorist prison in El Salvador. They all had lawyers, indictment by grand jury, a trial or a guilty plea where a judge ensured it was knowing & voluntary & access to an appeals process. In other words, all the hallmarks of due process.

I can’t tell if this is accidental fascism (stupidity) or deliberate fascism. But the point of due process is figuring out—through trial, evidence, jury deliberations, etc—WHETHER YOU ACTUALLY BROKE THE LAW. Without due process, they’re just locking you up based on an accusation.

In 1862, a Union soldier found cigars wrapped in a piece of paper in a field of clover. The paper was a copy of Confederate Gen. Lee's invasion orders. The Southern sloppiness helped the Union stop Lee at Antietam. It's unknown who lost the orders in the field, or if he was related to Pete Hegseth.
