I see little real world indications that Christianity is what the author of this article describes. In America at least, it mostly seems to be a worship of authoritarianism. If it does promote "prosocial ethics", I'd like to see more evidence of that in the world. Mostly I see a lot of judgement.

It had its problems but on the whole a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Great story and great characters. The Star Wars universe needs more scoundrel stories and this definitely fit the bill.

I went and messed around with the music generation service the video was talking about and... yeah, the future of online music is kinda bleak. Still, AI music generation programs can't play live at your local club, so that is still a way to make sure you're getting music made by humans.

Are these accidental or on-purpose safety outages? I've had a few this year, both kinds, and I rejoice when they are accidental because I know I have a prayer of getting my power back within 8 hours.

I had a fairly technical talk about a popular AAA game. They had me broaden the content and reduce the technical detail to appeal to a more diverse audience.

in my experience at GDC, they select room sizes for talks based on the likely size of the audience for the talk. Or if the talk might have broader appeal, they work with the speaker to tailor the talk to meet the needs of the potential audience.

Problematic sounds like the incorrect word to use. Are they arguing against including talks from programmers in game dev conferences because of this opinion?

It seems that the crowd might be correct on this one. www.scrippsnews.com/us-news/crim...

It's telling though that most people seem to be assuming it's something to do with an incident where coverage was denied to a loved one. Even if that doesn't turn out to be the case.

I felt like the combat was really dependent on finding some way to exploit edge cases to beat encounters. It always felt like I was cheating.

I gave it a good effort but I bounced off it after 80 hours. I’m not proud to admit this.

Yea I know priming it can get you better solutions. I was just kind of surprised that it kept committing to this bad approach even after I nudged it.

Yeah, I was surprised to see fried bologna on there. That was definitely yankee food as well when I was growing up!

I figured it would just tell me to sort the probe indices, but it never mentioned that.

I think the demise of human programming may be some time off still.
