My goodness, it’s hard to comprehend who could even conceive those ideas (apart from the fossil fuel lobby of course!).
The underground grid idea (which many might like the sound of!) was considered in Ireland several years ago and quickly dismissed for being financially impossible to achieve…

I was actually at the Weald in Billingshurst, we lived between there and Horsham. Not lived that way for over 25 years, but still pop down to see family etc. Large parts of the Horsham area almost are unrecognisable now from my time there.

My mum used to go in the late 50s as a teenager - she says that we always got good crowds back then. She would travel from Pulborough on the back of her brothers moped.

The tipping point for me was the constant stream of irrelevant (at least to me!) and crap ads that now appear everywhere. The bots, Musk, toxicity etc I could sort of ignore to some extent.

It’s the constant stream of low-grade ads that pushed me here. I get that it’s a commercial model, but every other reply being overseas property ads, bitcoin, online gaming etc is so so dull…
