Images like this make me cry and scream all at the same time. All our furbabies deserve so much better from their humans

If you’re going by interface and app experience alone (and completely disregarding all outside factors such as artist compensation, etc) then I feel Spotify has the superior experience and Apple’s is absolutely atrocious in comparison.
I’m not well enough educated on those outside factors, but…

People like them (Musk & Trump) seem to only be happy if they can wreak havoc on people they consider “lesser”
I agree though that this is likely one of the conditions placed in exchange for Musk’s support
I also believe that if it hadn’t been Musk it would have been some other conservative dipwad

As someone who has been battling a form of NHL since 2019 (and also dealing with the health insurance claim/denial/appeal cycle), I hate corporations and their damn “it’s more profitable to treat the disease than to cure/prevent it”

Although age plays a part for some people & not others, this is still a term limits thing for me. If term limits were in place, the age issue wouldn’t be an issue. She’s been serving since 1997? We don’t let Army Company commanders stay in command anywhere near 27 years. Fresh minds fresh ideas

"There's an old saying in Tennessee—I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee—that says, 'Fool me once, shame on... shame on you. Fool me—you can't get fooled again. '"
I hear W’s voice every time someone starts off with fool me once… 😂
I know it’s not funny, but laughing keeps me from crying

How many holiday meals could have been stocked at local food pantries for the less fortunate with the funds used to put on these expositions in vanity?

You are spot on. It’s also border security agents. It’s also TSA agents. It’s the many civilians working for the military.
How many holiday travel plans may have to be stopped because no TSA agents, etc.
This is maddening

Piers is an idiot. He enabled this behavior by the GOP and never really pushed back until it was too late. Always giving nonsensical defenses of Trump over the past 2 years. He’s just as culpable

I’m just waiting for the “we’ll have a plan to get them down in 2 weeks. It’ll be a beautiful plan. A plan like nobody’s ever seen before” on repeat every 2 weeks for the 1st year while he hopes everyone forgets about it over another blunder he will eventually make

Using Kelly’s logic, only 22% of the US population voted for Donald Trump, does that mean we should not recognize his win?

They are trying to use a wording loophole. The ballot initiative used the word “authorizes” and not “requires”. They are trying to say this means they aren’t actually required to enact it. It just means they can if they want to. It’s all GOP BS. I hope their voters remember this next election

I hope every Platte County resident that voted yes on this measure, but voted for a republican in Platte County at the same time… Remembers this come next election. Jess, I will help keep it fresh in their memory if you do the same

At this point, as far as I’m concerned, the establishment dems are no different than the republicans. They don’t give a sh1t about us. They will only rock the boat enough to put on a show (but not hurt their own portfolios). People like AOC are a threat to them. I’m on team AOC

This is one message The Last Jedi tried to convey, but unfortunately that message went over a lot of people’s heads because they had already been indoctrinated into the culture wars and hated it on pretense because of the “woke” characters.
It’s what Rose was saying. The elites profit regardless

Diagonal stripes of (alternating) emerald and gold. Have them slanting outwards (not inwards). 3 stripes per nail (alternating which color is in the middle from toe to toe) but make sure the toes on each foot mirror each other

I just made a comment on the OP noting that Bluesky users have started getting vile with each other (even tho it’s still better than X) and you immediately went vile with me. And the convo I was referencing isn’t there anymore because it was blocked. So I’m not sure what you’re referring to
comment in response to

You are even further proving the point of the OP, you automatically made a very hateful assumption about me and even thru in the F bomb for good measure. Seriously, why would you go right to that route? Is it trauma from X? We’re all on the same side here, are we not?
comment in response to

No. That’s not it at all. And I would never use the F word, it even in text form. Maybe you should be the one to grow up.

He’s Prez for the next 4yrs, he’ll control the DOJ, he does control SCOTUS. His appointees are all on board with targeting news outlets and journalists who “falsely” (key word, we all know it’s a a stand in for accurately) accused him to “rig” the election against him. They’re no longer trustworthy

Yesterday, I made some comments about how the MSM is trying to reel us back in to the culture war hoping we’ll lose interest in the class war… I was then repeatedly & viciously attacked (by the people I’m on the same side as) for being a white, privileged, responsible for MAGA, man who should STFU

I pointed this out to some MAGA neighbors of mine a couple weeks ago. They responded along the lines of “that’s why we have the elec’rol vote, so them damn city libtards won’t destroy our country” 😞

Agreed. But how do you start building that alliance? If you automatically disclude anyone for prior voting/views then you are essentially telling them they are worthless to you and you don’t believe they have the potential to change and grow. People change, I USED to be a hardcore republican

I grew up in a small rural southern Missouri town, which was almost exclusively white. I now live in Kansas City, which is full of diversity, and my eyes have opened to so many different points of view, and I have so much more empathy than I used to. I still have a lot to learn And more to grow.

You’re welcome. It is extremely difficult for all of us I believe. We come from different backgrounds and different experiences and sometimes I think we falsely believe that everybody else has the same information that we do. We have got to figure out a way to stop clawing each other‘s eyes out

2/2.. how long do I allow them to continue treating me like that when I gave up everything for them? Eventually, I’m just gonna throw my hands up & say “fine. I’ll still support marginalized communities, but I have no empathy for you as an individual & I will not help you as an individual, anymore”
comment in response to

It’s not a threat, passive aggressive, or otherwise. It’s reality. For example, I cut off all of my former friends and family because they were Maga and I wanted to support and help marginalized communities. And now those marginalized communities vilify me at every chance badmouth me spit at me. 1/2

Don’t you see what the culture wars have done to you? Yes, I am a white man. But, I also did not vote for any of those hateful things. And even though you claim to despise those things, the comment that you just made is full of hate, racism, and sexism. Are you a hateful racist bigot?

Then the fascist Republicans have already won, and will continue to do so. They are the perpetrators of the culture war. As long as they continue to sit at the top, the culture war will never be won by either side. civil liberties and freedoms will continue to erode
