As a Brit, we have a rule over here - being religious is fine, but if you feel the need to announce it to strangers, you're probably a nob.

Benchley's Law: One (1) worker should complete one (1) piece of work per work period. Corollary: Anyone can complete any amount of work in a work period, provided it isn’t the work they are supposed to be doing at that moment.

β€œO, it is excellent To have a giant's strength, but it is tyrannous To use it like a giant.” Some guy, probably means nothing, don't worry about it

I congratulate the US on being led by a team of drugged up nazi narcissists. What can go wrong?

You'd think, but the transient nature of digital storage means it's entirely possible that we lose everything after physical media stopped being a thing. We've lost tons of stuff from the dawn of the internet due to server outages/format changes. Will be interesting to see what survives 100 years

My time with Hollow Knight has followed a set formula: > Have a great time exploring new area > Die at a difficult section :( > Die again (difficult section!), losing a considerable geo haul > Quit in a salty fit of rage and curse the game > Come back a few days later, beat the area Great game!

Because people have been convinced by huge businesses that their minor infractions are driving climate change, and not the mass industrial processes that actually make the big impacts. Making people care about their "carbon footprint" meant we all started pointing the finger at each other.

You can tell they weren't around for the D20-system boom of the early 2000's! The fact is WotC will never be able to produce enough material on their own to satisfy the entire RPG market. Getting more eyeballs on the hobby as a whole is always good for the "little" guys.

This seems to be basically how creatives have to function now. Put out some work to get enough people interested in what you do, then fund yourself via a Patreon. Of course, this locks out anyone that can't sustain through the initial dead period, plus is horribly insecure. Seems bad, idk

So if Luigi was so good, then where is Luigi 2??? No, seriously. I'm waiting.

I think it's the most likely explanation, on balance.

I find a *general* rule for life is not to live such that there are crowds throwing street parties (with fireworks!) celebrating your death. Just a little tip there.

Someone described the USA as "twelve corporations in a trenchcoat" and it feels like this has never been more apt.

This is a big reason "the left eating itself" is such a thing compared to the right. The left wants change & progress, which necessarily looks different to different people. The right wants to maintain the status quo, which is a lot easier to agree on.

I people saying variations of "at least they can explain their viewpoint, even if i disagree i can respect that" and... no. You shouldn't respect someone just because they can string a sentence together about some group of people are inferior. Respect is earned through words and deeds.

"My sleep schedule is so screwed up that i had an early night and then got up at a reasonable time!" Gotta love it when you get so out of sync you get back in sync from the other direction...

Ermmm... isn't that an AI generated fake nebula image in the background? Kind of undercuts the message about this being a great place for science news...

The great failure of AI art is the more you invest in a piece and examine it more closely, the more errors & artifacts you find. It actively punishes caring about the art itself. Whereas proper art reveals more little touches from the creator and details you hadn't noticed first time. Night and day

So, is this the Ken influence rubbing off, or are you a long-term Powers-head?
