What he actually is, I think, is less important that what he symbolizes

Yeah, the E1 is really amazing, and I feel like it's just getting started in terms of what it will be able to do, eventually. So much more than just a MIDI controller. Just wish there were more comprehensive tutorials on building non-controller things like sequencers, arpeggiators, and MIDI FX.

The Cirklon's saving grace for me is knowing that once I can use it effectively, I expect it will do 75% of what I want/need. As for the other 25%, I have a suspicion I'll be able to fill in the gaps with some custom Lua programming and the Electra One.

One thing I’ll say about the Cirklon is, its definitely not a pick up and go instrument, it requires daily commitment to truly learn, and while there are lots of moments where I feel like giving up on it, the expenditure motivates me to keep pushing forward…

Morris, I heard that some of the re-releases used the CD release as the master. Was that true of Dreamfish?
PS I've owned the original Dreamfish FAX +49-69/450464 release since 1994 :-)

The FBI under Katel is going to frame either a Canadian, Panamanian, or Greenlandian to try and buy bomb parts, then use it as a pretext for invasion to "stop terrorism".

do i roll my eyes at a lot of DEI stuff? yeah, i wrote a whole essay about why i thought it was bullshit back in 2020. but trump et al aren’t saying, “corporate DEI policies mainly exist to protect corporate interests from discrimination lawsuits.” they’re saying “get the blacks out”

Techbroligarchs are exceptions, not rule re: the medicine. Personally, it helped me to heal from trauma and be a kinder, more loving person, and to find balance & emotional regulation.
It won't cure sociopathy though, and ketamine addicts wind up constructing alternate realities that they live in.

Don't aspire to my standards, my monitors aren't even hooked up because I got all OCD re: my underdesk patchbays, now rewiring half the studio. Re: the LIT series, I almost pulled the trigger, decided to stick with Neutriks & get create.traceaudio.com labels, esp given impending Musk-induced crash.

Somewhere along the line I developed OCD about not having {correct length, high-quality, efficiently-run, hidden} cabling, w/everything in patchbay; having good ergo; solid/stable MIDI/word clock, etc.
Realized I'd become an artist whose art is my mutable studio configuration, much to my chagrin 😭

If it's not obvious, the efforts at countering the lies are failing.
That said, for many, being on Bsky is less about Twitter's decline, more about the excitement of building community with a toolset that emphasizes resilience & sustainability. I'm done with walled gardens. ATProto is the future!

A little ambitious to be playing 5 gigs on the same day. Also, I heard that the scenes in Denigo and Debison can be a little rough, be careful.
Are Vancoudir and Vancover close to Vancouver?
Finally, are you worried about overexposure in Chicago? maybe they just can't get enough of Hodge there 🤣

This is a backdoor. Elon's coders are creating a backdoor into the US Treasury. This is incredibly dangerous both because of its intended use (by Elon and Trump) and the risk of other actors exploiting a major security vulnerability to cause a massive disruption to the US government.

I'm not advocating for asymmetrical warfare against the regime by sabotaging Tesla properties at both the supply & demand tiers, just wondering when it will happen.

To be clear, the proposal did not come from the party, but from the "disassociate in response to trauma"-advocacy group Third Way

After encountering this part of the article, I knew it was OK to stop reading. The group's name "Third Way" has been a sad joke since inception for sure, but never so much as right now.

He wasn't in the US for very long, but his perspective transformed how I heard music. We were both obsessed w/Bandulu, and proximity to his gargantuan knowledge of dub over the years fine-tuned my own tastes in a profound way. I'm devastated he's gone, but I am so so so grateful to have known him.

How far will conditions have to deteriorate before the US military is called in to protect Tesla dealerships from being firebombed?

Yeah I looked at the new MPCs but it just felt like a computer with a touch screen, pads, knobs. It's like, I already have Live, Bitwig, etc. - this just feels redundant. The Polyend devices though, I love em when the firmware is stable. The Tracker+ & Play+ - genuinely inspiring.

Only with syncing with other gear, though. Super tight internally.

Owned a MPC2KXL for about 10 years, had the multi outs and EB16 FX, then traded up for an MPC-2500 with the XLCD screen upgrade & JJOS. From looping with the audio tracks to all the QOL improvements, felt like a massive improvement without losing 2000's vibe. Clock on JJOS can be lil sketch, though.

The setup is not super-complicated; grab the ROMS from Synthesizer ROM Archive (dbwbp.com/index.php/9-...) and drop into the plugin folder.

Feeling confident in the curation for this one! Presales are brisk, too, kind of stunning really for a scene that buys 90% of its tickets day-of or at the door.

Didn't have an issue but I use Vivaldi 🤷♂️ It works well but if you want a free version of Microwave XT that runs the actual firmware The Usual Suspects' Xenia does a great job: futurenoize.com/dsp56300/bui... Setup is slightly tricky but search engines can help, and skins from the Discord improve UI

Doing the right thing despite high personal cost is one of the ways I define a hero, respects 🤜🤛
I suppose $100k buys a lot of material comfort, but to sell my soul in the process and make a mockery of my origin story like Mills did, I dunno. Seems like it might cancel out the material shit.
