They need him to be a genius because they cannot handle what it means for them to be tricked by a fool.

Only other lessons I've had were guitar, which really got me started, and from that I could transfer skills to bass, but took time to learn to match drummer's rhythm when I played bass in a band. If I had time I'd take bass lessons to see what I'm doing wrong, but what I really want is piano lessons

Itās never been one of my main instruments, but I took some drums lessons a while back and I had to unlearn the way I had been holding sticks as well pedal technique. I welcomed this become is it definitely improved my overall technique.

Great movie but I found it stressful to watch. Maybe I should watch a 2nd time.

Just 1 thing: Allow it to be customized such that it has keyboard shortcuts that are exactly like macOS, including Emacs-style shortcuts everywhere, all the things you can do with 3rd party tools like Karabiner. Command key shortcuts that stay out of the way of UNIX shortcuts.

My dad gave me some old 8ā disks when I was a kid at a time when our computer has a 5 1/4ā drive. I took them apart. I gave my son a 3.5ā and he tried to take it apart. The cycle continues.

Reminds me I need to unfollow some people there that I followed for tech and now I get to see their awful opinions on the rare occasions I login to that site

Also Iām hoping their remote dev (Gateway) improves. Itās promising, but still too buggy / unreliable for me. Though my M4 Max MBP w/ 64GB is significantly faster than any server I have available to run remote dev on. I think it runs Java faster than production deployments!

Maybe they should have stuck with single IDE concept and made non-Java usage work better under IntelliJ IDEA. It actually does work fine if you install lang plugins you need, but individual IDE experience is improved enough that I often run IntelliJ IDEA, PyCharm, and DataGrip at the same time

Wouldnāt classify NIN as alt rock though.
I was a huge NIN fan in the 90ās. Saw them for The Downward Spiral tour and it was an incredible show

I haven't had any issues with DSC, though I use the DisplayPort for PC, USB-C over TB4 dock for Macs, and HDMI for PS5. Probably going to move my PS5 back to my 1080p@60 plasma TV for couch gaming, though.

One downside is only 15W power from USB-C, but I work around that with a Wavlink TB4 hub I got for $60, which I need for dual-monitor anyway.
KVM works pretty well, though sometimes the KVM button doesn't work, and I have to use the switch input function instead.
