Thank you for the invitation @nathalie-grob.bsky.social 🙏 - I enjoyed the visit very much! It was great to see you again and to meet your group as well as many of your colleagues 🤩

Happy to see our Preprint on improved peptide synthesis (reduced aggregation) through computationally predicted synthesis conditions online 💻🧪: chemrxiv.org/engage/chemr... Great team work of first authors Bálint and Marvin 🤩, and fantastic collaboration with IBM Zurich 🙏 @teodorolaino.bsky.social

It took us a while to meet in person @ninahartrampf.bsky.social but finally we did in #TOKS #DTU #Copenhagen An amazing student run conference! Thanks so much for the wonderful hospitality and the exciting discussions!

Synthesizing tailored, modified peptides and proteins is key to understanding their biology. In her "German Chemical Biology Lectureship" Award Lecture @ninahartrampf.bsky.social @hartrampf-lab.bsky.social gave exciting insights, how flow chemistry can be used for this. pubs.acs.org/doi/full/10....

Nice start of the year with kick-off meeting of our #UnaEuropa team at University of Zurich!🇨🇭 Exciting project plan settled, fondue eaten 🥳 @robinvde.bsky.social @ninahartrampf.bsky.social (thanks for hosting!) @ShiqiWang @JoachimVanGuyse

We are hiring! Exciting project on the performance enhancement of peptides. Check out and share: jobs.uzh.ch/job-vacancie...

A Christmas present to all of the lasso peptide connoisseurs out there. The next chapter in our work is on triculamin is ready on bioRxiv. Great work by two incredibly talented graduate students @amerrild.bsky.social and @tizianasvenningsen.bsky.social. www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...

Big thank you to all bakers, jury members and participants of the Great Chemistry Bake Off 2024 🧁🍰🎂🥮🍩🍪💗🙏 @ninahartrampf.bsky.social

The JuricekLab was happy to participate with their vegan cake Peanut Heaven 🥜 🤤 @ninahartrampf.bsky.social @michaljuricek.bsky.social

More and more Swiss chemists here it was time also for a starter pack (please contact us if we missed you!) go.bsky.app/CdvVFKj

Our Great Chemistry Bake Off‬⁩ is in full swing. 🧁🍰🎂 Thank you everyone for participating - more photos to follow🎄💫 ⁦

Great to see, that this exciting paper by @ninahartrampf.bsky.social has found a nice home at JACS. SynTags enable the synthesis of difficult peptide sequences and can be easily cleaved off in the end to give the unmodified peptide or a NCL substrate. pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/...

TWeeP (This Week's Paper): Challenging peptide sequence? Fear no more! SynTag from @ninahartrampf.bsky.social and coworkers is here to save the day! Read now, in J. Am. Chem. Soc. pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/...

Our Synthesis Tag (SynTag) for the synthesis of aggregating peptides and proteins is now published in JACS 🥳 Congratulations to first authors Héloïse & Elyse and everyone else involved ✨✨ pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/...

🥳 Today we celebrated the PhD defense of our very first PhD student Kevin Schiefelbein 🤩 Kevin told us about his Lasso Peptide journey over the past four years, and it was so great to see the full story coming together. Congratulations Kevin, and thank you for everything! #proudPI

📯📯 Chemical Biology starter pack 📯📯 140 PIs & groups posting primary research in chemical biology. Please reskeet (?) & reply to this post if you want to be added! go.bsky.app/KLrTWoj Let's make ChemBioSky even greater again! #realtimechem #FluorescenceFriday #chemsky #chemtwitter #AgentOrange

Are you looking for a PhD position in peptide synthesis, automation, and computational analysis? 🧪 💊💻 We have an open position for a collaborative PhD thesis (with Novo Nordisk). For more details, please see: jobs.uzh.ch/job-vacancie... ⏰ Application deadline = November 15

For my 1st post I'm pleased to share results of a fab collaboration with the Christophorou Lab (Babraham Insitute) - now in print! We develop a set of cyclic peptide tools to explore the cellular function of PAD4/PADI4 - let us know if you'd like to try them out. www.nature.com/articles/s41...

A new paper reminds us to check all our assays and to beware of taking shortcuts. Meaningful data are not won easily:

Our chemical synthesis of PTM-modified MYC peptides and their interactions with the tumor suppressor Bin1 is online Chemical Science. Congratulations first author Elyse Williams and everyone else involved! 🎉 pubs.rsc.org/en/content/a... #MyFirstChemSci

Our chemoenzymatic synthesis of the lasso peptide Microcin J25 is out now in JACS! We used flow-SPPS to synthesize several sidechain- and backbone-modified precursor peptides and demonstrated their in vitro transformation. pubs.acs.org/doi/full/10....

Our preprint on “Merging Flow Synthesis and Enzymatic Maturation to Expand the Chemical Space of Lasso Peptides” is now available from ChemRxiv🧪🧫. Congratulations to first author Kevin Schiefelbein and everyone else involved 🥳 chemrxiv.org/engage/chemr...

So proud of our postdoc Elyse Williams who was awarded a poster prize at the ‚Chemistry and Biology of Peptides‘ GRC in Ventura. 🤩 We had a great time at the conference - already looking forward to the next one in 2026 🌊☀️

The year is off to a good start: our publication on a new data analytical method for flow-based peptide synthesis is now online @RSC_ReactionEng 💻🧪! pubs.rsc.org/en/content/a... Congratulations to Bálint, Pietro and Héloïse @Hartrampf_Lab @UZH_Chemistry 🥳

📣 We have 3️⃣ open PhD positions in chemical protein synthesis on our SNSF Sinergia project „MYConnect“ 🧫🧪 Please apply as soon as possible via jobs.uzh.ch/offene-stell... We look forward to exploring MYC phosphorylation with Oliver Zerbe and Linda Penn! Thank you SNSF! 🙏
