I'm here for science particularly space, photography of all kinds, nature, cooking, music (electronic, indy, industrial, and dark country), sci fi books, video games, sports and humor. Not here for people with nothing to offer but culture wars.

President Zelenskyy has been one of the greatest leaders of our time, guiding Ukraine through the darkest period of its recent history, rising up to Russia’s unwarranted aggression, being an inspiration to the Ukrainian people and ensuring that Ukraine’s voice is heard on the world stage.

If I had a band or a label, I would do a punk cover of "No More Kings" from Schoolhouse Rock. And then I would gather a bunch of people to write a whole album of next-generation Schoolhouse Rock songs, with songs about Social Security and Medicaid and NOAA. I am not kidding in the least.

The reporters at Texas Observer have been doing incredible investigative work lately, the kind of work that places like the WaPo used to do with a much larger budget before it got bought up and then slowly hollowed out by a billionaire sycophant who'd rather go into space than live in a democracy.

A bit of history for you…

Political liberalism has a lot of flaws but one of the cool things about it is how it's constructed around the insight that monarchy is a fundamental affront to human dignity 👍

In this impossibly hard year of 2025, I am letting myself be soft, vulnerable and generous both with others and myself. I will not let this world mold me into its current harsh shape.

This so disheartening. We rely on the CDC for so many things the general public isn't even aware of. As an ID doc when we encounter or suspect rare pathogens we can sometimes only get diagnostic testing from the CDC. www.motherjones.com/politics/202...

That’s how you write a headline, people.
